Sportsman's Warehouse — Local services in Allegheny Township

My wife and I went in here to buy a hand gun and the person behind the counter was more interested in talking to his friend rather then helping us after 5 minutes or so my wife finally ask to look at a gun and he had to go find the keys,then when she ask questions he did not seem interested in us went back to his friend he did show her one other gun but really did not listen to the issue she had I had not got to look at a gun as he didn't seem interested in selling any to us we were ready to buy and wanted to buy closer to home but now we plan on going to rural king to see what kind of service we get there if not any better we will just not buy any I am sorry I do not normally leave reviews especially bad ones but was very disappointed with customer service and probably will not return

After talking with customer service and store manager, my wife and I decided to give them a second chance and my experience was totally different and much better and have decided to purchase a firearm from them and Amanda was very helpful and listened to my wife's needs and was very helpful. It was very nice and be shown different things and listened to . And the store manager was very apologetic and was very helpful. TANKS FOR HELPING US AND SERVICE...

Don't waste your time on this place... I waited half an hour at the gun counter for someone to finally ask me if they could help me... So I asked about trading in a handgun I have and he said he'll have to see it ok so I walk out to my truck and unload it and go back in ... Then after a few minutes he asks me if I have a question so I hand I'm my empty locked open handgun he says did you check this in upfront 🤷 I said no didn't know I had to where was the sign notifying me I had to... He says he can still look at it I said ok it's safe I didn't even bring any magazines or ammo in with me his response was well I can't give you a value I'll need the mag's to check functionality 🤦 like he's going to go outside and test fire it or something 🤷 ... I said no that's ok I'm good forget it I'm over it.... And the truth of the matter is the gun they had I was interested in is $40.00 dollars cheaper at Rural King and I don't have to trade mine in I don't like selling guns anyway so I guess I'll just put it in my safe and purchase the new gun at Rural King.... As far as sportsman's wearhouse I'll be done purchasing anything from them their prices kinda...

Hubby was looking for a certain fishing shoe. Called all over the states. Found a gentleman in Chambersburg. He was beyond perfect. He helped my husband more than the other 7 people from all over did. Walked him through on how to get them and made it easy to send for them. That man needs to be noted for all his help. He is a valuable employee. Don't lose him. Husband can't remember his name. He's racked his brain and can't recall it.. I'm sure if you have a way to do it. You'll find out who he was. He was the third one he talked to in Chambersburg.. they are in , in the Altoona store. We are going today to pick them up. We will take the 50 minute drive. We do like the Altoona store. But when it came to ordering them,that store had no idea how to help us. Other than tell us they had none and didn't see them in stock anywhere. Glad my husband was persistent, and glad Chambersburg had that 3 rd gentleman to put on the line. He may have been from shipping, we aren't sure. But thank you... All the people he talked to lead us to the right person. Patrick...
