We had a great shopping experience at the store. Salesperson was very friendly and professional and we never felt pressured. We ordered a sectional sofa and power recliner. While at the store, both my mother and I asked the salesperson if the sectional comes with a bracket to connect the pieces since the display model was “pushed apart.” We were assured that it did! We get the furniture home, assemble it and it does NOT come with a connector bracket. My husband is mad and wants to return the whole sofa, but I figure I will call the store and give them a chance to fix it. An employee makes note of my issue and assures me we will hear from the technical department within a few days. The tech department emails us one day and states that a bracket has been ordered from the manufacturer and could take 6 weeks to come in. Another week goes by and I receive a call from the store saying that the manufacturer doesn’t make a connector bracket for their sectional and “oh, well.” No other solutions or apologies were offered. At this point I am really mad! We specifically asked about this issue at the store before placing our order. We have owned numerous sectional couches over the years and not once have they not had the option to connect the different pieces. To top it off was the nonchalant, indifferent attitude of the caller, who could simply care less that we were lied to. Read moreSpent 5 grand on a couch where the fabric pills and pulls apart. Levin came in twice in a year to shave the couch down and refused to fix their crappy fabric after that. They blame it on the manufacturer and refuse to acknowledge that they choose the manufacturers they use. Had bought the extended warranty but crappy fabric is not covered by the warranty. They take no pride in ripping locals off. I would never buy from them again.
Edit: in response to the Levin's reply where they are trying to sound like they're going to actually stand behind their product and/or their business name, I have spoken to your customer service more than once and you refuse the continued repair of the terrible fabric. The last time your repair man came out was before my one year warranty was even up. Customer service had assured me the pilling would stop, even after having someone come out to shave it multiple times in a year. So I asked them to extend the warranty if they believed that, and they adamantly refused. I'm told this is not their fault; it's the manufacturer's fault. But you refuse to acknowledge that you choose the manufacturers you deal with. We also paid the extra money for the extended warranty. Unfortunately, somehow that does not cover continued pilling or coming apart at the seems. The coming apart at the seems was before the one year was even up, but your repair man said he can't fix that sort of thing. Read moreHad my second great experience with Levin Furniture store. This time I was shopping for a bed and potentially headboard and nightstands. It was a big purchase, and not one to be taken lightly. Haili greeted me shortly after I walked in the doors with a smile and genuine pleasant greeting. She stayed with me for over an hour and gave her honest advice and opinions and answered all of my questions. I was struggling with some indecision as this was my first mattress purchase and she was so patient with me and never once made me feel like I was bothering her or wasting her time. I’m pretty positive I tried out every mattress in the building, and she was patient the entire time. She didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t want, and even walked back to the clearance room with me so that I knew all of the options that were available. Haili made sure I had her contact information and didn’t try to be pushy or force me into a decision just to make the sale. Overall, I recommend going to Levin and seeing Haili for an upfront, honest and genuine pleasant experience. 10/10.
