Stopped in Kranich’s Jewelers upon recommendation. As I am new to the area I had no leads for for where to get my chronograph serviced. I decided to stop in at Kranich’s as they are a certified Rolex dealer of high-end timepieces. I found that they offered a service that was reputable and more affordably priced than that of the factory service center, so that was a win.
Our sales representative Kelsey D and she was spectacular. Not only did we end up sending in my timepiece but also sent my wife’s Raymond Weil in as well. As we perused the floor, Kelsey D listened to us and after taking the time to understanding what my wife’s tastes were, she returned with some curated pieces that my wife connected with. I’m not one to fall for suggestive selling, but it truly wasn’t like that - I didn’t feel pressured at all. Who doesn’t like that?
Overall, the atmosphere at Kranich’s is clearly held to the highest standards, and everyone we spoke to was down-to-earth, friendly and customer-centric. Before we left, Kelsey D informed us of a special mounting event and provided us with a free gemstone for making an appointment - again, zero pressure. My wife was also afforded an opportunity to pull a card out of a bowl which contained a $200 off gift on our next purchase (if we so chose to do so).
Needless to say, we did come back and even though we didn’t mount the gemstone we received, my wife left with a Tiffany platinum & diamond ring in tow. The price was simply too good to say no. As a value-added service, Kelsey D cleaned and polished out all the scratches out of my wife’s rings at no additional cost. Kelsey D was the consummate professional and most importantly, made my wife feel special. I decided to put down a security deposit as recommended by the gentleman I was dealing with just to make sure it wouldn't sell while I was deciding if I wanted to make the purchase or not, and made sure that it would be refundable if I decided I didn't want the ring. The gentleman I was dealing with assured me it would be refundable. With some consideration, I decided not to buy the ring and notified the man I was dealing with and told him I was not interested. He said I would have to come into the store to have my security deposit refunded, so I traveled to their location and ordered another ring that my girlfriend thought she might like and wanted to see. I also asked about my refund, and they were extremely hesitant and said they could probably do it, but never did it. They promised they would call us when the ring we ordered came in so we could see it. It's been over a month, maybe two at this point. We have never heard back from them. All they got was my money, I never got anything in return and I have not been refunded to this day. I originally came in for a simple ring cleaning. I’ve had my rings for over six years and had no idea they offer a full refurbishment service (deep cleaning, polishing, etc.). Roberta suggested it, and honestly, my rings really needed it. While she was in the middle of writing up that order, I had her opening cases and pulling out chains and earrings for me to look at. She handled everything like a pro — never flustered, multitasking with ease, and always with a smile.
Looking back, I was probably being a bit of a pain, but Roberta never once made me feel like it. She was kind, patient, and genuinely happy to help. These days, good customer service is hard to find — too often you feel like you're interrupting someone’s phone time. But not here. Roberta’s warmth and enthusiasm actually encouraged me to make some extra purchases that I hadn’t planned on, I even made a layaway.
