Im done with Zales, we're done with Zales! Over 15 years shopping there and my last two experiences were trash! Lack of customer service and employee knowledge killed it for us! The lady i dealt with today said she has been there 4 years and was adamant i was wrong. The gentleman last month was the same way! Last month we took my son's necklace to replace the worn chain and was told they needed the whole thing. Thats because we had already replaced the chain, only the chain, at least once before. He didn't want to give up the cross and left devastated! Then today we go because the chain busted and the cross was lost. I explained that I had insurance on it and the woman told me they would not replace it without the cross. I said I had the insurance they sold me and she said I have a warranty that doesn't cover loss, that, or stolen jewelry. She was 100% sure i was wrong and misunderstood them when they explained the "insurance" to me and said it was a warranty! I can't believe I'm saying this, but the employees there remind me of the kids running fast food places that are just there for a check to pay for their next high and party! No care for customer service, just deliver bad service and products! No care in the world! Just leave, you're wrong, they're right, and like the lady said today you lose your money! Im out $200 for the necklace when I purchased it plus the insurance of almost $70!! She didn't help for nothing! She just wanted to go home! Well I know losing my business won't hurt them, but my friends family, Marine Corps friends and family will make a small dent! We will forever regret this place and let people know about it until hopefully they're gone! Years of wearing blinders and making fun of other jewelers is done! We will be Kay Jewelers customers, or any other store, and not shop Zales anymore! Im canceling the two items I had on the list with Zales and save myself that $3500+ for now! Maybe I'll get a better deal elsewhere! I never looked anywhere else because I believed Zales was it!! Boy has that gone out the door! Goodbye Zales and hello everyone else! My fiancĂ© bought my ring in September, proposed in October, we sent the ring in to be resized, it came back a week later not sized, we sent it off again for a week and a half, my engagement and wedding ring came back sized, but soldered together which was no where on the paperwork to be done, the worker told me it really wasnât that big of a deal and not to send it back just for that. Two weeks later a stone had fallen out, we took it back, was told about a week and a half due to the holidays, and we got it back three weeks later finally. The customer service has never been good, theyâre consistently snobby, short, and no compassion for the aggravation caused by the company. I have only had the ring for four months and of that four months it has been in my possession collectively 4 weeks. We place the order and given a 4 to 6 week timeframe but expect 6 to 8 weeks. 6 weeks in i follow up online and get a response that they cant find the the order. Finally get the response that the order was cancelled after pulling teeth. The order was cancelled but the transaction of payment was never refunded. if we would have waited 8 weeks we would still be waiting with no insight. after calling the store their excuse is that they dont get any updates yet online customer service states they dont get updates, the store does and is supposed to follow up. Overall terrible customer service experience, poor communication, and lack of accountability. So if you are looking for those things when spending your hard earned money i dont recommend this place.
