I was hired by them to work in their inventory department a while ago. I was super excited having been out of work due to my previous employer going out of business. I started there and everyone was super friendly and the work itself wasn’t too hard at all! I liked my co-worker, the manager made small talk with me as he was passing by. I made some mistakes and some were more clumsy than others but I quickly learned from them and moved on as one should. My only setback was my feet hurting everyday. Having been out of work for a while, I was not used to walking around everyday and I did not have the funds to get new shoes right away. I did inform the manager about this but I only mentioned it once because I didn’t want to be a complainer! I thought I'd found a great job for me and I hoped I was doing well but I did not hear about how I was doing from anyone. Two weeks later HR called me in and the manager told me that every new employee goes through a 30 day trial and that they were letting me go because as he put it, I wasn't working out for them. That was completely shocking! No one told me I was under a 30 day trial, I did not see it in the employee handbook and I was not told of it during orientation. I don’t think that fair at all, springing that on me until it is too late! I later asked HR what I did wrong, thinking it was my clumsy mistakes and she told me that the role required a faster pace and a higher level of accuracy than they were seeing during my training period. I would like to counter this, I was putting in the effort, making sure that everything was in the right place and scanned into the system. I was not given any feedback. What little I was given, I followed. I moved the carts to the area they went to and I double checked the scanners. The manager did not tell me that I was not being quick enough. I do not appreciate hardly any feedback. I do look for ways I can improve on my own and watch others to see how they do it but I can’t read minds, I need constructive criticism from my manager in order to correct mistakes! That is how to get great employees! I was very heartbroken, I wanted to work for them for years. But I wasn't given that chance because the manager didn’t want to help me improve and give me more of a chance. I would have gotten better. CIT Electronics I know that you are reading this! You need to tell new employees that they are under a 30 day trial and give them more feedback instead of just firing them, I know you mean well but by doing that you are putting people like me in a worse position than before you hired us! Please do better! That being said, this is a good company to buy from. They have a good selection of Electronics and most of them have never been used and this is the only company I trust to buy something off Ebay. There are nice and great people who work there and this is not a toxic work environment at all. The HR lady is pretty awesome. She did what had to do (or was pressured to do, I...
Read moreMy families bought a handful of times from this place over the years. Electronics for the kids, Dyson vacuum for a nice discount, some clothing items, its amazing how many brands they have in their eBay stores.
Sometimes buying online can feel risky but it really isn’t with this company, they’ve been doing this a long time, have very high feedback on their eBay stores (hard to stay as high as they are, for as long as they have) so you can buy and feel confident. If over 99% of people are happy and satisfied (99%+ on eBay that leave reviews actually means their satisfaction scores are likely to be even higher) that’s pretty amazing. Happy to point out how positive our experiences have...
