Great dog park with lots of room to run. I would recommend coming at around 4pm to 6pm during the winter months to achieve maximum puppy playtime. The field is broken up almost 50/50 between grass and gravel. There is no shade and only one bench to sit on. This particular dog park has two sections, one side for bigger dogs (25lbs and over) and the other for smaller dogs (25lbs and under). The sections are separated by a fence and have their own gates. During the summer there is a water fountain for the dogs but is shut off during the winter. Usually, but not all the time, there are doggy bags provided so you can clean up after your furry friend. It is better to bring some back up bags just in case. This park does seem to have a problem with people picking up their dogs poop which is sad but I would say the parks only "flaw". Also keep in mind that there is no rules against putting the smaller dogs in with the bigger dogs if your dog is accustomed to being around bigger dogs. I have seen this done many times with the minor consequence that the smaller dogs may get run over by the bigger dogs. I have been taking my dog (Siberian Husky) to this dog park every day for the past month because I love close by. He loves it. I have also found that the caliber of dog that comes to this park is better than most. Most of the dogs seem well behaved and are not aggressive and get along with all manner of breeds. Just as long as you keep an eye out on your dog and aren't on your phone or something, everything is...
Read moreI am in the middle of moving from Washington down to Texas, and one of my stops was American Fork, Utah. While here, I felt it a good idea to take my dog to a local dog park since she'd been cooped up all day in the truck. This park had a trash bin with plastic (like a black garbage bag) dog pickup sheets, a proper scooper, a big dog and little dog separation fence/entry, some dog toys such as balls and a tug o war rope, and both large and small dog parks had benches. Be prepared, however, that it is mostly park and gravel with very slight greenery if that's something you mind. Overall, it was a good experience. To add to the openness of this dog park, there's a beautiful view of the mountains when sitting on the bench in the small dog park. People and dogs were friendly which was great! If I ever pass through again, for any reason, I will likely bring my pup back to...
Read moreThis dog park is pretty good, I like how big it is, and that there is 2 parts, one for small dogs and a larger section for the large dogs. I only have small dogs ao we are kind of limited, and unfortunately not as many ppl use the smaller one so unless you go around 5pm there typically isn't anyone, maybe just one dog. Also there isn't any shade so my dogs gets over heated super fast and we end up spending far less time there than any other dog park. The park itself is half sand and rock and other half is grass, I'm not a huge fan fo the rocks and neither are my dogs. But there is plenty of grass in the back for them to romp. All in all with it being so close to my house it does its intended purpose, but if I had options I wouldn't put it on the...
