So my husband and I have been going here for years at least twice a month one of our favorite places. We even had them cater a dinner party after we got sealed last year for 65 guest. They had done an amazing job. Since we moved and because of my work schedule and holidays we haven't been in the last 3 months but we finally made the time and went on a date with over anticipation of our favorite place. Unfortunately it was not what we had anticipated. We got the butter chicken which is one that I normally get but my husband does not but he loved the taste of mine last time that he decided to get it. As we were eating I noticed that I had cartlidge and pieces of undesired chicken in it. Which has never happened and so did my husband but on his second helping he had two pieces of bone one of which pierced the back edge of his mouth by his tongue it was about an inch long. He pulled it out and we summoned the owner over and told him. He was not apologetic and said that with their whole chickens they pull off the bone and that can happen and walked away. After the initial shock my husband couldn't eat any more because his mouth was hurting and bleeding. A few moments later the owner came and took the plates away quickly before we had a chance to take a picture and gave us a little ball and said dessert is on me... needless to say we ask for the check and we could not believe they did not discount my husband's dish. We noticed that the prices had gone up a lot from $10 to $13.95 and the portions were a lot less than before. The chicken was like the bottom of the pot that you would normally toss out. I'm so disappointed and unfortunately will not be going back any time soon. We will be going to Orem or Provo and not be driving out of our way ever again. They lost very loyal customers with their lack of concern and disregard to his situation. Please be careful with their tandoori chicken orders because according to the owner bones and cartlidge are part...
Read moreI changed my review score because they appear to have corrected the problem.
This place has been my favorite Indian restaurant for years and I often order from them 2 or 3 times a week and consistently spend roughly 100 dollars each week. But due to them constantly raising their prices while also cutting back on what you actually get with your order, I can not continue to give them my business.
The biggest issue is their paneer pakoras. Over the last few months specifically they have greatly reduced the amount of paneer that is actually in each piece by 50 to 75% compared to what they used to be and instead they put more batter around it to mask the extremely small amount of paneer they provide. On top of this they now give about 25% of the chutney they used to provide, which is not even remotely close to enough.
I used to be a monk in a krishna temple for many years, so I understand how much it costs and the effort that goes into making the items I order. The amount of paneer they put in the paneer pakora is less than a dollarâs worth of paneer and they are charging 8 dollars for this.
I understand that the cost of everything has gone up and things are more expensive and in general. But they are absolutely exploiting the situation and they are doing this to their most loyal customers.
I would strongly recommend anyone avoid this place until they stop trying to exploit customers unfairly.
You would think in such challenging times when people are going to start cutting back on what they buy, that they wouldnât take advantage of extremely loyal customers.
Their poor decisions has cost them a few hundred dollars...
Read moreService here is not great. I placed an order on their website today (3/13) and selected delivery (the website offered it, and charged me $5.99 for it). It estimated 60 minutes. After 75 minutes I call in, just to check. Their response? "We don't offer delivery. Your food has been ready for pickup for 10 minutes already." When I replied that I had ordered it on the website, they said "well, why didn't you call us first? the website isn't supposed to allow delivery" I was...surprised. "Um, but it does, and you charged me extra for it..." I said. I got nowhere and said I needed to call them back to see if I could balance things with wife to pick the food up. They took no ownership of the fact that their own website offered delivery and they didn't know. They called me back a couple minutes later and admitted that the website offered delivery, but that it shouldn't have, and that the company who managed the deliveries (mealhi5) was being switched out. Then mealhi5 called me and said "they do have delivery, they just didn't know it, we'll have you food in 10 minutes." (I lived 15 minutes away, don't know what they meant...". Well, 45 minutes later, my food did arrive. The appetizer was cold and soggy. The tikka masala and naan held up alright.
Bottomline: don't trust their website. If you need delivery, use Door Dash (even though they charge more for their items on Door Dash than they do on their website). And if you expect them to own their service and be empathetic,...
