Menards likes to trick people and act like there A family owned company that's there for you for the person with a family. They like to pretend they have cheap prices. If you ever get a card from them, they will continue to block your payment. If you don't sign up for the automatic bill pay system. They will run your bill sky high with so many late fees. It will be impossible for you a normal person to catch up. This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I eventually, Told myself I was not going to give them any more money because of the way they treated me, and they just ruined my credit all over 300 or 400 bucks that eventually turned into thousands of dollars. Because I would not sign a card up for automatic bill pay. I could drive up there all across town and pay just fine with the same card. If I schedule payment, they wouldn't take it out immediately. They would make you keep the money on there for 3 or 4 days. And then as soon as you spent the money, they would try to charge the account. And then make it a be a late fee, all because they want automatic bill pay, since they did me the way they did me. I did them the way I did them. I'm not going to pay a company that tries to hurt the little guy. They tried to say they are there to help. But what a lie that is. What a dumpster fire garbage business !!!! One of my top 2, worst companies of all time. Don't know who's worse, Tham or snap on and I'm a mechanic. I need tools. I was going to use my card to buy work tools toolboxes, other mechanic stuff. but they constantly was ripping me off. If you can't tell, I can't stand these people. And I could go on for hours about how bad they treat their customers. Please never get a card and go anywhere else you can other than here to buy...

No wonder this store is cheaper. There are few employees to help you. When I finally found a worker in lawn and garden, I asked what to do if I needed several bags of top soil. She said just take the bag up front and they will ring you up, and come out back and pick it up. Makes sense, right? Then i get to the register and I tell the lady I need 25 bags of top soil and she just exploded. The lady is chewing me out saying I need a pick list and she can't do anything about it, it is company policy. Good luck finding an employee back there to make you a pick list, let alone I'm not walking all the way back to the back of that huge store to get a piece of paper. I'm like I'm just trying to get some top soil. She tried to chew me out 3 times. Then she finally decided to help me and got a pick list from the manager at the front desk. Took 30 seconds. Wasn't hard to do. Do I care what your company policy is? No, just trying to buy some product. The question is are you going to help or not. I get to the back and I end up having to load 25 bags of top soil by myself bc there is no one that shows up to help after calling and talking to one of their employees. I understand they were busy, but if their "company policy" is bad customer service, then I'm probably not going to be driving to the other end of town...

Great store. Plenty of friendly and helpful employees. I have noticed a large majority of the items they sell are at least fifteen to twenty percent cheaper than Lowes and sometimes even more and they have actual smiling cashiers and not the crazy self check out long line madness that Lowes replaced all of their cashiers with. I stopped going to Lowe's entirely several years ago due to the amount of money I have saved by shopping at Menards. Also same if not better quality items than Lowes has to offer. No crazy reserved parking spaces for everyone and their uncle depending on what club they belong to so you can actually park right outside the building. lol. The 11% cash back rebates is also a great way to save even more and the rebates come in handy for buying more merchandise in the future. They also have regular great deals on clearance items throughout the store. I also enjoy the variety of items they offer from food to items for your pets. Where else can you buy a sheet of plywood plus something for dinner under the same roof? I love shopping here and the abundance of friendly and helpful employees make it that much better even though I almost always know where everything is located so I seldom have to ask anyone but nice to know they are always around compared to...
