Poor Arrival: The front desk agent didn't say a word as we arrived for check in mid evening. There was no one in the lobby. She did not smile or welcome us, in fact she didn't say a word. I had to speak first and advise we were checking in and provided our last name. She did not use name recognition, she handed us our keys and advised elevator location. Nothing more was said. Terrible.||Room Condition: There was a garbage can next to our room with additional bags of garbage near it. They remained there for the full 3 days of our stay. While suffering from allergies, I reached for the box of Kleenex that only had the one in it. There was no spare box in the room. ||Breakfast: There were less then 5 people at breakfast. The oatmeal was rock hard and I needed to add boiling water to soften it. The bun of the breakfast sandwich was all crumbled and old. ||Housekeeping: We returned to our room at 10:00pm only to find there was no housekeeping service provided that day. It would have been nice if the front desk agent advised there wouldn't be housekeeping. Still no Kleenex, hand towels not replenished, garbage still full.||Shower: The shower did NOT work at all, no running water. When I called the desk, I was told they're having water issues. I asked to move to another room and was told they were sold out. I explained this was not acceptable and suddenly she advised I had a choice of rooms where I could use the shower, but she would need to let me in and I must call her to advise when I was done. The shower was ICE COLD. When I complained she said 'Oh'. I asked to speak to the manager, she said no one was in and she'd have her call me in the morning. No one called.||There were several other unacceptable issues but I've wasted enough time on the lack of Marriott promises.||Check Out: We explained to the Duty Manager the lack of basic customer service, let alone hospitable service and the number of issues throughout our stay. She had no idea how to handle a customer concern and said she'd need to check with someone and would call us back before the end of the day. No one called. We phoned at 4:00pm to follow up and she had left for the day. We called 2 more times throughout the week and left messages and no one returned our call. When we finally reached someone, she said she'd call us back and never did. ||We called Marriott Customer Care explained the situation and they confirmed they'd have someone call us within 5 business days. That was May 5th. No one called us, it is now June 1. ||When I called Marriott today to follow up the agent who answered was less than polite and truly could care less. She was defensive advising they were all busy and there was no supervisor to speak to because they don't even have phones to transfer to. (She actually said that.)||Perhaps Marriott employees should reread their mission statement. This brand is not what...
Read moreWorst weekend stay, checked in staff was rude, got to our room and the AC was super load so we had to have maintenance come up right after checking in , he just said I don’t know and we then had to go back down and get a new room, I asked if I could use points to upgrade and they refused to do it, said I had to do it on the app when I said I don’t know how the front desk lady was nasty when I said I have had hotels help me in the past she said no about 6 times when I said yes. I asked for a pillow and towels and they acted like I wasn’t there. So I went to the room and requested it on the app, then was told to come back down. When I did she hands me a pillow with no pillow case and one towel. Front desk had her whole family hanging out little kids , adults coming and going so we couldn’t set down stairs. The room was not the best when it comes to being cleaned our shower curtain had mold on it, the bottles were dirty in the shower, floors dirty and the sink sprayed out all over the place. There was stuff around the bed and finger prints all over they were even all over the Hotel badly. The pool was nasty it was green and the pool room was 90plus degrees. The breakfast closed 20-25 early everyday. All was bad. Also housekeeping didn’t come to clean our room we had to put out trash and towels out side the hall then we I went to ask for two towels and tissues and to tell her our stuff was out side the door and to also ask about why there isn’t trash bags in the cans there was a big language barrier to were I had to just get the stuff off the cart my self. (She was nice and was trying her best to understand me though). Over all I would give this stay a 0. Hotels dirty and staff was RUDE and very dismissive. Also on the subject of upgrading our room with points later that evening they upgraded someone else’s room and she didn’t have to...
Read moreSaturday, March 2, 2019 was my 2nd stay in 2 weeks at this establishment due to me signing up for a promotional challenge of 8 stays by May 31st to achieve gold status. I even requested the same room as my 1st stay. At 3am this morning, my room filled with cigarette smoke to the point that it woke me out of my sleep coughing. I immediately called the front desk to inform them that one of their guest was violating their smoke free policy. The person that answered the phone (found out later was the General Manager) informed me that she is unable to go door to door & find out who is violating the policy and that sometimes smoke will filter in the room if people are smoking next to the ac units. I informed her that there was no one outside. Confused by her response in this 4 or 5 floor 56 room establishment I hung up the phone upset. She was not even willing to investigate. Ummm isn't against the Marriott policy as well as a possible fire code? Why wouldn't you investigate? My husband ended up walking the hallway and stated the smell was strongest on our end of the building which meant only one of four rooms. Her failing to do the job Marriott pays her for resulted in a very unpleasant stay. If I wanted to smell smoke in my sleep I would have stayed at a different establishment. Highly disappointed in the lack of customer service and customer care. I already dealt with a slip and fall on my last stay due to the heavy ice on the sidewalk and parking lot. Reported it as soon as it happened. Only positive experience so far is the room is nice and I was able to stay in the same room...
