I'll start with the positives.... the decor was nice and the room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Now, the negatives..... we chose this hotel because we wanted to swim. At check-in, we specifically asked about the pool and the hours. The gentleman at the front desk mentioned nothing about the heater not working in the pool. It was freezing and impossible to swim in. I went to the front desk and they told me they were aware of the issue and didn't know when it would be fixed. I explained that I specifically asked about the pool and he didn't mention anything about that. I asked if we could get a discount for not being able to use the pool and he said that it wasn't allowed. We went back to our room and my wife went to take a shower and there was no hot water. I called the front desk four times and got no answer. I went down to the front desk and waited almost 10 minutes and still no one came. I went back to our room and called the number listed on the website and finally got ahold of someone and told them the water wouldn't get hot. He stated they had been having issues with that and that he would move our room. We had to move to another floor. The gentleman said he would take $20 off our stay for the inconvenience. We again tried to use the shower and it took almost 5 minutes before it got hot enough to use. The shampoo dispenser in the shower was empty. There was no microwave in the room, no closet, no coffee maker or ice bucket. When we asked about the ice they said the only working ice machine was on the first floor. Also, you can hear EVERYTHING. Every door opening and closing, people walking in the room above you, EVERYTHING. For a new hotel, there are a lot of kinks to work out. check in with Reese was amazing she helped me fast and was really nice as well as very helpful she made sure I knew everything like breakfast time, location of all their amenities and so on.
I want to say Seth was the best, If my children or I asked for something he got it for us, My son asked from an extra blanket we had it with in mins. When we asked for information he was fast to help, my son had questions random ones about the hotel and Seth never seemed bothered by him not one bit he answered every question and he about even got us thing from housekeeping once they left. Seth was extremely kind.
Mark in breakfast was nice as well and was in and out of the kitchen making sure the food stayed fresh.
Housekeeping very friendly Anya, and Jordan who were not my housekeepers helped me with things for my room.
Over all staff was AMAZING, the stay was Awesome and everything was clean as well as fun.
We played pool, went swimming (pool was a little cold), played board games they had available and ate our dinner in the lobby and was extremely welcomed to do so. This is the weekend I needed and I got it here.

Read moreWhen we arrived they tried changing out the room we picked. Told my son they were booked as they pulled into the parking lot from North Carolina with children. Even though he had reserved a room across from us as well. Pool was more like a sauna , trash all over. Literally ceiling into pool filters trash was placed. No towels, had to fold our own when asked if there were any. Had to pull a chair out of the pool if we even wanted to use it. We saw one person working alone the day of check in. I'm sure that was part of the issue in the pool area. Along with the group of teen boys sporting trip which I'm sure affected or rooms upon check in. 3 or 4 people were working the next morning though. Rooms need to be blocked out if they are taken. Poor customer service to wait for someone to show up and say oh hey sorry we are full. Especially after both had made it to just getting the key confirmation on their phones.
