Glazed Expressions — Local services in Ankeny

In regards to the Ankeny location: I will never come back here. The initial visit we walked in and a young man came over talking so fast I had no idea what he was saying. Painting was fun, the studio was busy, and the atmosphere was relaxing. When done I was told it would be ready NEXT month around the 20th, just call for an update. I asked why it was long and was told they were behind. After I left I received a call every day for a week. They didn't get my name (it was given at checkout) and needed it to make sure we got our products. I had calls from Maddie and Bridget every other day. Every time I called no one knew what I was talking about yet I was talking with both Maddie and Bridget! They would take my info, tell me it will be added to my slip, no worries, however the very next day I would receive a call! Clive is the only location I will be visiting after this. Had never done this before, it was interesting. Staff does not give you any ideas to help with design. Staff was nice and friendly, but didn't employment their own rules of not taking the big bottles to the table, so everyone can use all the colors, there was a table that had 6 big bottles on their table, when I had looked up, and they were going back for more, without taking any of the bottles back with them. If you state the rules clearly, which they did, then I really believe the staff should say something, when the rules are being broken, so it's fare for everyone. What a fun clean chill environment. Im glad we came when it was a bit slower since I was trying to keep my three year old up until bedtime. She loves paint and this was perfect.
