Mangos Gourmet Paletas — Restaurant in Ankeny

Just tried this place on a whim with my boyfriend and we are really impressed. We really wanted ice cream but since it's a paleta shop I wasn't sure, but they have both! They make everything fresh every day and you can really taste how fresh it is. It was really refreshing, he got mango and strawberry and cheesecake sorbet/ice cream with Graham crackers on top and some strawberry syrup on top, and I got the cookies and cream and cheesecake ice creams, and got Oreo topping and Graham cracker toppings, with birthday cake and hot fudge toppings, both of which were like magic shell, so they got cold and hard and crunchy when they are on top of ice cream, which is my favorite. The store is clean and neat, and looks very nice inside. I didn't get the man's name who helped us, (he was the guy working at about 8:30 on Monday the 27th of September) but he was very kind and helpful in explaining all the stuff they have there, some of which were awesome new flavors used in Mexican cuisine that I cant wait to try! I give them a 5/5, especially because there are a lot of ice cream shops around but this one stands out as unique among all the regular places....

Came from Chicago and tried Mangos for the first time today. I got the street corn, which was perfectly warmed and deliciously seasoned, with just the perfect amount of spice. I also got the chamoy paleta with Tajin sprinkled on top, and it was the perfect blend of sweet, sour, and salty.
