I had work done here and paid 3 times what kay jewelers asked me to pay them to do the same job because this place had a jeweler on site. The reason for the rating is because I was promised great service being a new resident here from florida. I am someone who purchases a lot of gold and gems for my self and my wife we wanted someone to trust. When we went to pick up my ring i had work done on, the owners son,Jonathan the Gsm there, who should be good at customer relations one would think, knew my wife is a cancer patient and also i had just recently been in an awful injury with my arm verbally embarrassed us not once but twice right in the showroom when we paid to pick up OUR merchandise !!! He was put off because he had to use more than 1 credit card for the payment and then it didn't stop there , he then proceeded to tell us " Thank god i did not have to deal with you folks with others in my showroom " !!! The nerve if this guy ! This is his idea of good service ? Are you kidding me ? I have owned a dealership in florida and trust me that is NOT good customer service . Can't believe i paid 3 times three money for this, and subjected my wife who is in the middle of chemo treatments with mercy one to this kind of verbal abuse here in Iowa. Thank God most people we have met here in Iowa have been nothing like this poor excuse of a businessman. Never going back here and I don't recommend you do...

I love doing business with family owned businesses. If you are in the market for any jewelry , please give Fiscus Jewelers in Ankeny a chance. From the moment I walked into the store - I was warmly greeted by Rhonda who said, "How can I help you?". I explained that I was shopping for a diamond ring for a special anniversary. She showed me many design options along with a few one of a kind custom creations. I picked out a few designs and then returned with my husband to select our design. We worked with Jonathan on more specific stone options and it was no problem for them to get a few other stones for us to select from . Jonathan and Noel both helped us understand the characteristics of the stone. Once we selected the stone - we worked on a custom design of the mounting with Joe who created an example in wax for us to approve. The final custom diamond ring was even better than I had dreamed about - it exceeded our expectations. A heartfelt thanks to Rhonda, Jonathan, Joe and Noel for the most beautiful anniversary ring that I could have even imagined. The customer service of each of the team members was outstanding. I thought long and hard before I wrote this review. When my husband and I came in to pick up his ring we were initially warmly greeted. The work on his ring was great. Kudos to the jeweler who completed the work. My husband previously built rapport with Jonathan and told me that he shared our relocation story and how excited we were to be here because people so friendly and kind. He shared that I am a cancer patient and we would be in on the weekend to pick up his ring. When we were paying we advised Jonathan that we needed to split the payments due to my treatment. This is where it went downhill. We were told "I want to go home." and "How many cards are you going to use anyway?", and as well as saying something like you're lucky there weren't any other customers here. Taking into consideration the prior rapport building and now this treatment I was hurt and offended. A few minutes before 3pm another customer walked in, so there went his idea of going home.
