Found — Local services in Ann Arbor

SETTING: I've been to this store when it was on the second floor of the Kerrytown market area. Now it is on the first floor in a larger venue. Definitely a terrific decision for an upgrade! This new venue reminds me of a log cabin. I enjoy the more open layout, now that they have more space to work with.

ITEMS: If you're thinking about getting a gift, you HAVE to make a visit to Found. They have plenty of antique-like objects, souvenirs, Ann Arbor specific items, seasonal items, anything and everything for all sorts of people. Many of these items are very affordable too. There are sales every now and then that range from 10-20% off the entire store during holidays.

SERVICE: Whenever I drop in they are always smiling. Just a joy to be around. Recently, I came to return an item because it was a slightly broken. The staff were very nice and even picked out a new item for me, even though I already found myself a new one. They apologized to me, saying they "were sorry I had to go through all this trouble and come back just to get a new item". It wasn't a big deal, really, but I do appreciate their sincere customer service.

IMPRESSIONS: I really adore this place. It's a cute store with lots of cool items. Very easy to spend a good amount of time just sifting through all their unique offerings. Need something for Mom or Dad? Significant other? Friend? I'll bet you can find something at Found that will warm their heart at...

The store is lovely but an overzealous employee made me give the one star rating from my experience on 12/12/20. I'm changing it because I talked to the owner and I get it that these things happen. I discovered this shop whilst browsing the area on foot one evening. The owner was engaging and knew much about her unusual finds! I can’t wait to return when I have time to shop. Unfortunately, I wasn’t carrying a wallet or I’d have done some real damage. Meanwhile, the spring florals, vases and bunnies were lovely to behold! The area was uncrowded on a week night...
