Doctor was good but the billing manager is ultra-unprofessional. Summary: If you have a non-primary insurance that does not require PCP referral, avoid this place unless you intend to pay out of pocket first and spend 10 months and 10 calls between the clinic, their billing company, and the insurance company to get the refund back.
I went to the clinic last year in March -- billing manager insisted quite rudely that my insurance would not cover service and I have to pay in full before they attempt to bill my insurance. I paid in full knowing my insurance would cover the service.
Two months passed and I called the office, learning that they did not bill the insurance properly and it was not processed. Another month passed, I called again, manager insisted that my bill was declined. I called my insurance company and they never received the bill. Office manager said she personally checked and that wasn't true and told me to call their clinic billing company myself (highly inappropriate). I called their billing company and found out they never sent the bill to my insurance company. I called the manager again. With no apology of her initial false information and a lot of blaming on her billing company, she promised to see through the billing.
Four additional months passed and I still haven't heard back from the clinic, so I called again, and manager again falsely said my bill was declined. I called the insurance company. They said they did not decline the bill but were not able to process the bill because they have requested additional information from the clinic and never got it. So I called the clinic again to inform the manager the situation.
10 months later, today I finally received my refund for the out-of-pocket payment and still no apology ever from the clinic billing manager of her consistent false information and inability...
Read moreI had an initial visit at another dermatology office. They did a biopsy of a small bump I had on my face below my eye that had been present for approx 2 months. The result came back as nodular basal cell carcinoma and let’s just say when you hear cancer, it can feel very unsettling. it was recommended I have an excision. I wasn't very happy with my visits at this other office, so I decided to do my own research. I found MOHs surgery was another procedure that was recommended for removing basal cell carcinoma. The other office did not offer this surgery. I found that MOHs is actually considered less invasive and guarantees that all of the cancer is removed. I was shocked to know that I was not provided all options at this other office and so happy that I had done my own research. I eventually found Ganger. I called and spoke with the MOHs scheduler, Jill, who was so helpful with working around my work schedule. She was extremely kind and professional. I was scheduled with Dr. Tim Johnson for the surgery and I am so grateful to have found him. He took the time to explain everything to me and make sure I felt comfortable with the surgery. I felt very cared for and was beyond surprised at how professional this office operated. Marisa who administered anesthesia and worked along side Dr. Johnson was so sweet and caring. Both her and the doctor made sure I was comfortable and kept me at ease through the process. Dr. Johnson placed my stitches and I am beyond happy with how well my face has healed. I cannot say enough good things about the care I received. I would highly recommend...
Read moreI cannot say enough positive things about this office! Everyone from the receptionists to the medical support staff to the doctors themselves were so incredible.
I called Ganger Dermatology earlier this week after visiting five other doctors over the course of a month, following a "mysterious" ankle rash and an allergic reaction to an antibiotic I'd been given by another doctor that had caused a second, blistered rash that left my skin inflamed and discolored. When I called Ganger Dermatology, I was pretty desperate to understand what was going on with my skin/body/health, and Dr. Ganger herself was kind enough to fit me in last-second.
Dr. Ganger and her medical staff took time to listen to my details and spent time thoroughly explaining my condition, immune response, and what to expect as my skin healed over time after the allergic reaction. She was warm, kind, knowledgeable, compassionate and understanding -- basically everything anyone could want in a doctor.
After my visit, when I learned that one of my prescriptions wasn't covered by my insurance (and the pharmacy was charging way too much for my budget), the staff at Ganger was amazing in responding to my needs and helping me find the lotion I needed for almost 40% less through a medication discount program.
I highly recommend Ganger Dermatology and Dr. Ganger for anyone in need of expert help with a skin condition. This was a wonderful experience and, while I seriously hope I never have any serious skin issues again, Ganger Dermatology will be the first place I...
