We went here and bought a couch. The couch was on a fantastic deal. When going over the purchase, the salesman was pushing for a protection kit, and he said that it included cleaners and Scotchgard. He specifically mentioned "Scotchgard". We had decided on the upgraded delivery that included assembly and cleanup, and we asked if that included the Scotchgard application. He said that the delivery men normally do that with the upgraded delivery so that we wouldn't have to worry. We did not receive any fabric protection on the delivery day, and I called to see if it was going to be delivered separately. I was told that Macy's does not offer fabric protection like that and that it is in fact not recommended for their fabric furniture because it makes it harder to clean. It was also implied to me that this was just "my point of view" and that I wasn't told this. I was, and the family that was with me could attest to that. So, the salesman lied to us in order to sell this protection kit (commission?), and the store will not take accountability for false promises, not even "I'm sorry you were told that." However, the protection kit did include leather protection and wood polish, which was useless for the fabric furniture. I definitely felt scammed about that. The order also ended up being delivered later than originally promised, but there had been storms.

Read moreSam is AMAZING!!!! My sister is getting married and my family told me to get clothing from Macy's. I said ok. I walked in and was trying to guess what to get. A gentleman came up to me and introduced himself as Sam. I explained I was here for a suit. He look for about 2 seconds and was able to put me in the perfect size blazer! I asked him to take a picture and he was more than happy to help! I bought two, just to be sure and he told me that I could return whichever one "the women don't like" and he said that with a knowing smile. Over the next week, I came back and forth between Macy's and "wedding HQ" more times that I can count. Each time, Sam was there, remembered me, and was happy to help and always friendly and understanding. He also helped me with dress pants, and a dress belt. He was incredibly patient as I had to explain to my family over the phone and relay information to him about what they wanted. He made a great comment about how I was being very respectful about said wedding and joked that, while I admitted I don't own much dress clothes (don't really need to), he "hopes that I'll come back and shop more and to see me again in the future." He gave an incredible personal and friendly touch while still being very professional. He and absolutely made my shipping experience better than I could've asked for and I'm already recommending friends (also getting married) "to go to Macy's and to talk to...
Read moreI have had the worst experience. CHEATING US out of $130 with no product receive and no management help. Didn't receive our delivery, we're offered a refund we didn't receive, and customer service wouldn't let us speak to a manager until we hung up and got a different rep.
My husband and I had a couple gift cards from returns, used them to buy climbing shoes. We tracked their shipment and watched they came all the way to Michigan and then turned around and went back to the warehouse. We called to see what was going on and they said there was an unexplained issue with UPS and they couldn't get them to us so they would mail us a gift card for that amount. For some reason they couldn't just ship out another order with the same shoes in the same size. The reps we're unhelpful and literally would NOT let us talk to a manager until we hung up and called another rep and demanded. The manager was rude and no help. So they said they would mail us a gift card and email us the receipt so we would have proof. Never got the email receipt. 2 days later we get a letter saying that they can't give us the receipt because the delivery service confirmed that the product was delivered even though we received no package AND everyone in customer service confirmed the product was sent back to them. So now we are literally out $130 and still having to deal with customer service who don't know how to think...
