Good store, great staff, great selection. We stopped by earlier this week to purchase lacrosse gear, helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, and sticks. We really didn't know what we were doing. The sales associate was patient with us and our boys. He explained the shoulder pad EKG rule and took the time to fit both boys with complete set ups. Our boys are a little rambunctious, but he never showed frustration, just went about his business. I can't say enough about how this young man handled this customer service. He was professional, knowledgeable, kind, and really seemed to be enjoying helping us out. We also had some used baseball equipment to sell to the store. The sales associate behind the counter took our ID and “checked” us in and explained the buying process. She was able to work on the buy while we shopped for the lacrosse gear. When she was finished, we received a text letting us know the offer was complete. The young lady explained the offer in detail, letting us know what they would try to sell the product for and ultimately our offer in cash and store credit. Again, she was professional, kind, and patient when she explained the quote. We ended up accepting the store credit offer as it was a little higher than the cash offer. I think the store credit amount ended up savings us about 20% on our lacrosse purchase. Not too bad! I don’t’ usually leave reviews, but this experience was too good not to say something. The two sales associates were very good at their jobs and made the buying and selling experience easy and understandable. Overall, the store was clean, organized, and had a very friendly feel to it. I highly recommend giving them a visit. They have everything from baseball, lacrosse, skateboards, fitness, hockey, golf, and many other sporting goods. However, they do not carry any hiking or hunting gear. It also felt good to know our baseball gear was getting a second life! Every little bit helps! Thanks again for the help Play It Again...
Read moreI have been going to this store since I was 10 years old and sent countless people here for deals. I went to this store on March 1 specifically for a Scotty Cameron putter that I had seen the day before. It was $180 labeled with a price tag and specifically listed the exact putter model, not a mislabel or mistake. When I was checking out, the owner checked the price online and saw it was worth more than he had priced it, so he literally took it off the table and put it in the back room. He said it’s not for sale anymore because he can make more off it than what he was selling it for. In other words, he didn’t do his research before pricing it, saw I was getting good deal, and he said it’s not for sale anymore. After telling him this was very unethical and rude, he said “It’s technically still my property”. Never returning to this store and wouldn’t recommend supporting a place that conducts business like this, especially when the owner himself behaves like this. Very disappointed to have spent a lot of money here over the years.
(The reply below is untrue and the owner never stated once that it had already been sold. If he had mentioned that I would have understood but it was never said once. He simply said I’m not selling it and took it to the back. Then upon further questioning he said “it’s still my property”, which isn’t true if it had been sold already. But thank you so much for the discount on the $15 putter I got from the discount bin. Which was only applied because a good employee felt bad for me. I was never told about a discount either so I didn’t have a chance to “accept” it. Great customer...
Read moreBought a golf driver here and was told at the cashier that I could return it within 10 days. It’s written on the receipt too. Brought it back on the 7th day and was told that they modified the policy and I couldn’t return the item. What a bizarre customer service and company. Very disappointed. This is why online retailers thrive.
A company should honor the terms and conditions in effect at the time when a goods is sold, and not just modify the terms after. The owner didn’t even look at the driver and instantly said it’s not returnable before I showed him the item, and stood behind the cashier smirking. You need to update the return policy written on your receipts, and educate your employees to communicate the right policy. Otherwise you won’t win any...
