I am a pretty consistent Target shopper and I frequent this location. I've also worked in retail and the service industry; this review is not a jerk reaction. The employees they hired and retained from the holiday season require additional training. Overall complaint: Poor customer service
The service I received on Thursday, January 26, 2023, around 6:45-7pm was abysmal. Originally, picking up my order was convenient and a polite exchange. However, upon returning to my vehicle, I realized that I had been given an incorrect bag and returned to the store to receive the rest of my order. I understand that sometimes bags are misplaced or mislabeled; that was not my concern. However, the women at customer service were rude and inconsiderate. I informed the new employee (the original employee who retrieved my order was occupied with another customer) that I received the wrong bag and was there to retrieve the rest of my order. She was the most inconsiderate employee during this exchange and did not listen when I was listing off the items I was missing. She heard me say I was missing 2 items; I was missing 4 (I only ordered 7 items). She informed me that I would need to go through the store and retrieve my missing items; noting that I was charged for them already so I can retrieve them. What's the point of ordering ahead if I still have to go through the store? Fine, I know where everything I need is located in the store and I'm already late for my meeting, what's a few extra minutes. The new employee rolled her eyes and contradicted me when I returned to the counter with 4 items instead of 2. She consulted the original employee, who not only retrieved my order initially but also packed it. When I explained again which items I was missing, the new employee put the additional items in a bag and instead of placing the bag in my out stretched hand, she put the bag on the counter and shoved the handles of the bag to me, rolled her eyes, and turned away.
Mistakes happen, disrespectful behavior is unacceptable. Especially, when the customer...

My recent visit to the Target store in Annapolis left me thoroughly dissatisfied due to the subpar customer service and operational shortcomings. The most glaring issue was the evident lack of staff, which resulted in excessively long lines at the registers. Despite the visibly overwhelmed cashier, additional employees seemed disinterested in assisting or expediting the checkout process.
Moreover, interactions with both employees and the manager highlighted a disconcerting lack of customer service etiquette. When seeking assistance in locating an item, I encountered indifferent responses and vague directions that ultimately proved unhelpful. It was clear that the employees were more focused on completing tasks than on providing genuine assistance to customers.
In one instance, a query about an advertised promotion was met with confusion and an apparent unwillingness to clarify or resolve the issue. The manager's response was similarly dismissive, leaving me feeling unheard and undervalued as a customer.
Overall, my experience at Target in Annapolis, underscored significant deficiencies in both staffing levels and customer service training. Until these issues are rectified, I would caution potential shoppers to manage their expectations and consider alternative shopping venues where customer satisfaction is prioritized and staff are adequately equipped to handle customer needs effectively.
