I love the store itself but the staff could improve. Extremely unhelpful, We purchased 4 chairs ahead of time and picked up later in the week when our house would be ready. Our house date got pushed back so I called ahead of time to ask if it was okay to pick up on Friday instead of Thursday. The lady on the phone was rude and said she “Guessed it was okay”. The lady that finally could help when we arrived at the store to pick up our items was extremely rude. She had an attitude and then wheeled the chairs outside and said “Just bring back the cart.” When we were finished loading up our truck we pushed the cart back (really just me at this point as my boyfriend had to stay with the truck). I was struggling to fit the cart inside the doors and a worker saw me struggling through the window and just walked away. Finally a nice customer decided to help open up the doors. I couldn’t catch the ladies name who was extremely rude to us when we asked for the chairs. Anyways, this store has just been nothing but rude and unpleasant. Customer service is key to returning customers, we will be headed to the new location in Durham for the remaining purchases for our new house. The Durham location is new...

Whomever is the male manager at this store should be retrained on customer service. The manner in which he spoke to me in the store today is completely unacceptable. Trying to use a coupon from their website he stood there and argued with me in front of his staff and other customers, embarrassing me and himself. When I️ politely asked him to stop raising his voice and yelling at me, he came back even more aggressive and loud. Clearly it was up to me to resolve this situation which I️ did by not purchasing the items and walking out of the store. I have to say I was very disappointed with the employees here! I really do enjoy shopping at Kirklands. They have the perfect decor for any home and all the stores are decorated with the perfect touch. I was shopping at the one in Apex for 30min looking around and not one employee said hello to me. It was very sad. Usually employees at other locations are always happy to assist you and say a friendly hello. This store had 3 employees working and I walked by them on purpose and nothing.
