If i could give this Walgreens a (-) I would. Totally unprofessional. I'm a long term pain management patient working hard to get off of pain meds. Currently, i fill a prescription once monthly. I called on Monday to find out when i could fill my prescription and was told i had to wait until Friday to meet the 30 day requirement. However, I realized that the pharmacist made an error in her calculation so i called back Tuesday to confirm that Thursday was day 30 to ask if i could pick it up Wednesday evening which is usually allowed. The tech confirmed i was correct and told me one medication would be ready and transferred me to the pharmacist about the other (both are pain meds). The pharmacist also confirmed but then she told me she didn't see a prescription for the other medication in the system. i asked how this was possible when i had received texts & emails for both prescriptions already. Her response, "Well, it's not in the system, we don't have a prescription for this one. I countered "but i called yesterday it was confirmed i was just told i had to wait." She said "well it must have been deleted from they system." "How did it get deleted?" "i don't know but it's not there and there's nothing i can do about it you'll have to call your doctor and have them resend." How do you delete a patient's prescription? I feel this was retaliatory because i had called the day before. This pharmacist took it upon herself to delete my medication. Why would you do that? My doctor and I have developed a plan for weaning me off medication but have warned me not to stop cold turkey. They explained there is a very real danger of my blood pressure spiking and causing a stroke if stopped abruptly as i have high blood pressure. But this pharmacist has now delayed my ability to get my medication on time. I am afraid of how my body will respond if i don't get my medication on time. I'm at a loss as to how someone could either be so careless and/or spiteful to delete a customers record. This isn't the first time i've had problems with this particular Walgreeen about medication. How can you play with people's health and make a judgement about someone...
Read moreThe only reason I am giving this Walgreens 4 stars is because they are pretty much the ONLY Walgreens, as far as I know, in Seminole and Orange County, that has a 24-hour store AND pharmacy. Some Walgreens will have a 24-hour store, but make sure you check the PHARMACY hours before you visit. Even if you do find one with a 24-hour pharmacy as well, like this one, on Main St. in Apopka, double check the hours before you go on their app or website. I say this because often, the pharmacy will be closed for a few hours in the middle of the night. I suppose it's because the pharmacists are on their lunch break? I'm not really sure. But I would be upset if I paid for the Uber there in the middle of the night, only to find that the pharmacy will be closed for another hour or so.
Which, yes, has happened to me.
In fact, instead of checking the website, go a step further (especially if you're Ubering), and call the store before you go (if the 24-hour pharmacy is the main reason for your visit, as it often is for mine,) just to double check.
This Walgreens is also not in the best of areas, and is often guarded by 'Rent-a-Cop' type of security guards. In my experience, they have been rude, judgmental, and downright disrespectful. They are often working in PM hours, maybe 8PM-12AM, and I suppose it is because the store has experienced a lot of shop lifting and shrink in their inventory because of its location, and the fact that it has a 24-hour pharmacy, which I am sure attracts addicts/people who are more likely to do crime. However, when you have been a loyalty member FOR YEARS, and spend $100's at multiple Walgreens locations per week, I think they should watch the way THEY behave and do THEIR job, because not everyone is a thief, and if you want your store to be profitable and not only visited by shoplifters, then perhaps a bit of customer service for the PAYING customers is in order.
All I can say at the end of the day is to do the SURVEY on the bottom of your receipt, especially if you experience any attitude from staff- or any problems on your visit to this, or any, Walgreens Stores. They really do make a difference. Your voice...
Read moreI encountered extremely unprofessional and rude behavior from a manager named Chris, and I felt compelled to share my experience.
Chris, who mentioned she had the flu and lived 45 minutes away, was visibly ill. I asked her why she didn’t call out to avoid potentially spreading the illness to others, and her response was dismissive and unhelpful. Despite her claiming that she didn’t have help, she assisted other customers—specifically those who were Caucasian—while I was left to wait without assistance. This felt not only unfair, but also discriminatory, and her tone was incredibly condescending and unpleasant throughout our interaction.
I’ve visited this Walgreens store multiple times, and I’ve encountered rude and unprofessional behavior on several occasions, but this experience has been the most upsetting. It’s disheartening that a company I once trusted for customer service has allowed such treatment to occur.
I would appreciate it if you could address this matter appropriately and ensure that future customers do not have to endure the same poor experience. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. Chris is absolutely horrible I'll go to CVS from...
