I came to Red Robin for the first time after the many years of driving past it. The store looked pleasant and clean. It’s got a sports bar feel to it. We were seated right away. It took a while for our waitress to come because she was also training a new waiter. The menu is huge. I think it can use some consolidating. Some of the burgers seemed very similar. I rather have a few good items then a ton of mediocre options.
I ordered the Southern Charm Burger with the garlic fries and a 22oz spotted cow. My wife got the Red Robin Gourmet Cheeseburger with regular fries and a raspberry limeade. The drinks came out quickly but our waitress spilt some of the drinks on to our table as she was giving them to us. She apologized and used the napkins that were for us to wipe the spill. She never brought us more napkins even though she said she would.
The drinks tasted like how you would expect. I believe the glass for the spotted cow was chilled which is always a plus. The burgers didn’t take too long to come out afterwards. I order my burger with a little bit of pink. I can’t remember if they cooked it right or not but the burger tasted good. I highly recommend you just ask them to bring another round of fries right away when you get your food. The number of fries you get is lacking. My burger although flavorful was also lacking in portion for the price of it. My burger was supposedly a ½ lb. burger but I’m sure it was the same size as my wife’s cheeseburger; which is supposed to be a smaller burger. The waitress and waiter did check up on us periodically. We were asked if we wanted more fries and gladly accepted the refill.
Final verdict is that the prices are inflated for pretty much everything on the menu. Serving sizes needs to be increased. The initial serving of fries and the second round of fries equates to how much fries you would get at any other restaurant. The food and service overall is just okay. Having the ability to check yourself out with the tablets on the table was convenient. We probably won’t be coming back if we are craving for a good burger. There are better burger joints in the Fox Valley in quality,...
Read moreI went there and ordered gluten free burger(only tomato and Cheese, important for later) and gluten free fries, I have a severe allergy. The servicer which I didn’t get a name, African American. The food got brought out by a different person, she was really nice but I noticed it didn’t have the purple indicator, indicating it was gluten free. I asked if the fries were gluten free she said they were not put in as gluten free, at this time I noticed a small piece of lettuce on the burger. I asked for it all to be remade as I’d get very sick if I have any sort of cross contact with gluten. I asked her for gluten free fries to eat while I waited for my food and the original server didn’t bring them out at all. He brought the food out after it was “remade”. During this I noticed that the burger had a purple indicator in it but the same piece of lettuce on it as before. The fries were remade as they had no seasoning on them and were hot. The burger its self was cold. The server came back and I explained that I didn’t feel it was remade because of what I stated earlier and he said that it was in fact remade the burger got done first. That the gluten free buns aren’t warmed up, but the burger patty was cold as well. I explained that due to me not trusting that it was remade I would like to speak to a manager. He then said he was the manager and that he wasn’t remaking as he saw them remake it. I explained that I wasn’t going to eat it and he could take it back. He was incredibly rude and I will not be coming back to this location again. I’ve always reported to the corporate phone number. Would rate zero stars if I could.
Edit: the manger there called me and was super apologetic and was appalled by the servers attitude. She mentioned them doing a training on allergies and the severity of it. She was professional and understanding the whole time. Thank you to the manager who called me and listened with compassion. 5 stars for my interaction with her. About a month later I find out the guy I had this altercation with is still there and a manager yet. I will never go back to this location, Oshkosh is where we go now. The drive...
Read moreWe always saw this place packed whenever we went around that area so I decided to try it. We got the Tsunami Shrimp appetizer and the Pretzel bites. The cheese with the Pretzels was really good albeit a little thick. The Tsunami shrimp was really good but it tasted kinda old and reheated. We ordered our food and I got a burger. My boyfriend got a pizza. The pizza was really good. I had 2 little corner pieces. My burger was what you expect out if a burger from Red Robin. It wasn't anything to brag about for sure. We did have to ask for more fries which if I remember correctly, when you get a entree that comes with bottomless fries, your server is supposed to ask if you want more, it was fine though. We also decided to get milkshakes which we ordered on the little table tablet and they were to go. Our server came up with the check and confirmed that we ordered them and then just didn't bring them to our table for us to take home. We were confused after sitting and waiting for 10 minutes so we got up and asked the hostess if we could get them and then they realized that they hadn't made our milkshake and went to get our server to let her know as well. We thought maybe if we were getting them to go we had to get them from the front but she responded like our server would be bringing them to our table so we were really confused as to why we had to go ask for them when she mentioned them when she came with the check. Overall our server was great and attentive and...
