Nordstrom — Local services in Arcadia

My Family loved going to Nordstrom Arcadia Mall until we got harassed by their Security!

April 13, 2024 - It was a rainy day, and we get that people are trying to get parking inside the covered parking garage which has direct access to Nordstrom. I turned right at the first 2 rows of parking spaces, and there was this middle eastern lady that drives a CR-V who already PASSED a car that was about to leave and had already put my turn signals on. Before the car backed up, the lady put her car in reverse and started backing up and she almost hit my car. The car that was about to leave backed up and the lady took the parking space. I honked at her and when she got down from her car I told her "Hey lady, you cannot do that and you almost hit my car! are you F--king kidding me?" There was also a car behind her who saw the whole thing happened. The lady did not seem she cared at all. My dad came down from the car to tell her what I've said as she didn't seem to hear us in the car.

20-30 minutes after we found a parking space in the basement and when we were about to enter Nordstrom, the lady was pointing at us to a BIG guy who was wearing casual attire. The BIG middle eastern guy approached us and started yapping "I don't want to hear about it!" a few times. I answered him "Excuse me sir but you're approaching us and you don't want to hear what she did? so what's the point of approaching us? to scare us?" and he said "aren't you brave... look you're going to cry now, looks like you're going to cry!"

I was shocked that we thought is a "Security" and he does not want to hear both sides and just sided with the lady. FYI, I was with my 2 year old son and the guy was showing signs that he wants to fight so he can show off to these ladies around that he's a tough man. He does not even look scary, I'm just scared that I might get banned from the mall because this is the only mall we like going to.

May 1, 2024 - We called Nordstrom customer service to report about what happened because we saw this guy again roaming around the store like he's the owner, and flirting with the sales ladies. We saw him sat down at the perfume section and told the lady "What you got for me?! Show me what you got!". The customer service told us that he will mention this to his boss and will update us of the course of action.

Today we have not received an update yet...

We are scared that this is the man they hired...

the only way you are not under microscope In this store is if you are asian or caucasian. even poor looking trailer trash behaving people they treat them with whit gloves. you purchase something there, and if you have to correct it by returning several times, you are immediately a suspect. purchased some glasses there and had to take them back. ordered something of a better quality (designer). the fool at the desk told me to go downstairs. I went downstairs to pay for a $300.00 pair of glasses. only to see this pale looking woman dressed in black like she lives inside a grave yard coming down the escalator and pretending as if she is just a shopper. just because I walked in an was direct to go down stairs to purchase the right item. after I paid for it the asian guy told me to go upstairs to return the $70.00. they told me upstairs that he was wrong for telling me that as he could have done both transactions. the 300.00 glasses were sent to their store for me to pick up. I received an email while I out exercising that they were ready for pick up a few days later. drove over there. they handed me the package. I want outside and opened it. one of the handle was broken off inside the box. so I went indie the store again to bring it to their attention. while I was standing there 2 Mexicans (security) came towards that direction gain pretending. they placed another other for me. I had to go to my car and get my credit card. after placing another order I cancelled it later realizing how disrespectful, uneducated, racist, respecter of person they are. and if the truth be know not even the store manager make the amount of money I make yearly. however, its a color coded country. and certain color does not count. I will do my best to stay away from there. that is why I spend thousands of dollars yearly at...

Customer service has gone to the dogs! I asked a woman in Lingerie about underwear I was interested in. I asked if they had other sizes bc the ones on the floor were smalls.. she said, "we don't carry plus sizes in the design." I was completely offended! Same day went to the shoe dept. I was specifically looking for Blondo boots. I passed 2 young Asian salesmen and neither asked me if I needed help. They ignored me and continued their conversation. I HAD TO LOOK FOR SOMEONE TO HELP ME, and when I did, she told me I had to wait while she finished putting shoes in boxes. I had to return a coat I purchased. It was packed in a big box. I ordered another coat but still thinking on it BUT took the big box it was delivered in with my return. Luckily there was a disability button to automatically open the doors. As I walked in, a young sales girl asked if I k ew where to take those. Didn't offer help as I was carrying 2 big boxes. I arrived at the return area. Not too bust. An employee came out and asked if I had a return, and she would help me on the outside register. Again, no offer to take the big boxes from me. I'm a 60 yr old Latina and I usually go I to the store before I go to the gym so I wear gym clothes. Is it my age? My ethnicity? My appearance? I contacted customer service and reported it. The agent put me thru to a store manager. He didn't take my information such as my name, phone # etc.. did my complaint fall on deaf...
