Coming during the grand opening weekend, there were so many red flags that I would not recommend anyone to come here. I initially came with my friends after hearing about their grand opening special: BOGO drinks and 50% off food. Retrospectively, even though they were that price, they were still expensive for the quality.
When we were given a tour of the place, only a few rooms were taken. Initially, I thought that was pretty bad since they had their grand opening in a very large plaza and were advertising pretty well. However, I gave them the benefit of the doubt since we went during their happy hour as well. After being seated, our mics didn't work as they didn't have any battery at all. We thought this was strange as they just opened. We informed them and they replaced the batteries. However, when they replaced the batteries, since the microphones were connected wirelessly, we could hear their conversation in Mandarin. Suffice to say, it wasn't pleasant.
After that initial service, one of us went to go to the bathroom. At this point, we realized that the door wasn't closing properly. One of our party members, who is an engineer, saw that the mechanism designed to close the door was broken and there wasn't enough clearance for the door to close properly unless you were to put in a lot of effort.
In the middle of our karaoke session when we were deciding on what songs to pick, we heard some clinking, but didn't think much of it. Not too long after, there was some more clinking and then the glass decorations near the door and the television fell to our surprise. I thought this was a major safety hazard as I was wearing sandals in a dark area. I turned on the lights and then used one of the napkins from ordering food and tried to sweep away the glass remnants towards the corner. We pressed the service button immediately and the employee apologized to us. She then asked if we wanted a new room, but we said it was okay since we were already here. She then got, who I assumed was the manager, and let them know about the incident. The manager offered us a new room as well, but we said we were fine. Our engineer friend took a closer look at the leftover adhesive and informed us that it looked like an all-purpose adhesive rather than the proper adhesive designed for glass. She said that the glass would fall sooner or later -- especially due to the vibrations from the songs.
Near the end, we decided to go out since we were tired of singing and asked for the check. They gave us the bill and informed us about the BOGO drinks and the 50% off food, but decided to not mention that they added a service charge. Though I will admit it was my party's fault, the 15% service charge was a surprise since they didn't let us know about it while going over the receipt. I thought that was pretty unprofessional since we did tip 15% (even with everything that happened).
Overall, I don't plan on coming back ever again. The full retail price per hour is way too pricey for the quality you are receiving. In addition to all of the oversights of the room during our stay, I think that is foreshadowing to the amount of work they put into the facility. I think the only redeeming factor was that they had a good selection of songs -- both in English and in Mandarin since our party...
Read moreGreat place but recently just upset me with a situation. I called a month ago to reserve a date for my birthday they informed me I had to wait 2 weeks in advance, cool no problem. I called back 2 weeks ago, and they told me I had to call in 1 week before the date, no worries. I called back yesterday 29 times back-to-back no one answered until the very last call, the lady took down all my information for my reservation and then the call dropped, I called back MULTIPLE times no answer, they didn't even try to reach back out to me. Finally, yesterday I called back, and ALEX said I didn't have a reservation & took all my information down again and told me he'll have a manager call me. I NEVER RECIEVE A CALL!! so today 5/19/23 I go to the establishment on my lunch break because they weren't answering phones again! that's when they told me "All the rooms are booked" she told me you can call 2 weeks in advance, but I informed her everyone I've spoken with has told me different information and would not let me reserve a room. I AM A LOYAL CUSTOMER THERE, I PAY EVERYTIME WITH NO PROBLEMS, VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH HOW THEY HANDLED THE SITUATION ITS LIKE THEY DIDNT CARE WITH A OH WELL MINDSET!!!! DO BETTER AND TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES TO ANSWER PHONES AND KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. BECAUSE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES LACK OF COMMUNICATION MY BIRTHDAY...
Read moreThis place is an absolute scam. If I could give it negative 10 stars, I would. We were blindsided by a ridiculous $370 bill just to sing for two hours—completely unexpected and outrageous. We initially booked a small room for $45 per hour, only to be upgraded without our consent to a standard room, where we were forced to purchase a package that included alcohol. None of us drink, so we were stuck with 18 sodas, which we had to take home like some kind of joke.
But the deception doesn’t stop there. There’s a hidden $50 room service fee they conveniently fail to mention. The food? Utter garbage. We ordered dan dan noodles and chong Qing noodles, both of which tasted identical despite costing $14 each.
Their excuse for upgrading us? We requested YouTube in the karaoke room—something they conveniently failed to mention would cost extra. Instead of transparency, they sneak in charges through a fine-print contract and make unauthorized changes to your reservation. This place operates on pure dishonesty. Avoid it...
