I belong to orange theory and had a free pass through my apartment building to try Barry’s for 2 classes. Wow it was really tough! I would hesitate to recommend this to a beginner - it was a tough class for someone who goes to orange theory multiple times per week. The treadmill was the most difficult part of class - at orange theory you pace yourself, at Barry’s the speeds are high and the instructor paces you (with incline too!). I thought the floor was easier than orange theory but also very different. We used bands mostly and at orange theory we use dumbbells and rarely bands. I’ve been to Barry’s in London, Boston, Norway, and Singapore, and this location ranks among the best. Lydia P. was our instructor and she was incredible, clear instructions, high energy, and a perfectly structured workout.
