Very disappointed with the service. I got called back 10 minutes late to my 90 minute massage and it ended right on what would have been the time if it started on time. Appointment was at 2:15, got called at 2:25, and appointment ended at 3:45. I arrived 15+ minutes early. When I asked about how much longer I was going to have to wait, I said not to worry and I would still get the full 90 minutes. Staff was friendly but massage was subpar. My therapist walked up to me in the lobby and didn’t introduce herself so I had no idea if she was my masseuse or an assistant. She walked me in the room, asked if I wanted the bed to be heated, and asked if there was anything she needed to focus on (standard questions which is fine). The lights were left on and very bright and after asking the questions (still not clear if she is my masseuse at this point), she closes the door for me to get undressed and on the table. Didn’t tell me how to lay and I felt like I was in a doctor’s office. Once the massage started, the lights did dim. Throughout the entire 80 minutes, I kept hearing a phone vibrate, which wasn’t mine as mine was on do not disturb. However, I thought maybe I had clicked the wrong button and it was my phone so the entire time I was stressing about work. Additionally, I smelled food, heard people talking, and heard what sounded to be the continuous rolling of thunder which was not a recorded therapeutic sound or the natural weather. I think it was someone rolling something around, but didn’t care to ask. There was no point in telling her where to focus as no time was spent in the areas I discussed. I requested full body, which I got, but no dedicated time to the two specific areas (calves and shoulders). When the massage was over, I wasn’t 100% sure if it was or not. Nothing was said to me. The mask just got lifted off of my eyes and had I not opened my eyes, I wouldn’t have seen her leaving the room. I would describe the entire experience as awkward. No pleasantries were exchanged even considering I was a first time client of both the business and the massage therapist. When you spend $200 on a service meant to relax you, you want to leave feeling relaxed. I left more frustrated than when I came in and thought maybe I had done something wrong. I am new to the area and was looking for a new spot as I am used to getting massages every 2-3 months. I won’t be back and will continue to search for an experience more aligned with previous...
Read moreI first visited Elements Massage in Arlington about two and a half years ago while visiting a friend who lives across from them. I had asked my friend about them and she had never used her services, so out of curiosity, I just booked a session—and I’m so glad I did. The experience was excellent, and even though I lived in Foggy Bottom at the time (a bit too far for regular visits), but I did book a few other session and I always remembered how much I enjoyed coming here. I knew that once I moved to this neighborhood, one of the first things I’d do would be to join their membership program, and that’s exactly what I did.
Now that I’m a member, I can truly appreciate the flexibility and value. Each month I can choose between a massage or a facial, or, if I really want to treat myself, I book both. Having that option built into my routine feels like such a gift, especially in today’s stressful world. Between school, life, and everything in between, knowing that I have this space to relax, unwind, and take care of myself makes a huge difference. The staff here are not only talented professionals but also warm and attentive, which makes every visit feel personalized and welcoming.
Since becoming a member, I’ve had sessions with Andrae and Juju, and they’ve both been absolutely wonderful. I also love that I can pick up my skincare at this location—the Sanitas products they use are fantastic and have become part of my routine. On top of that, I even introduced that friend who lives across the street to their membership program, and she enjoys her visits just as much as I do.
I can’t recommend Elements Massage enough. If you live in the neighborhood, or even if you don’t, it’s worth checking out. The convenience, the professionalism, the quality of care, and the overall experience are all top-notch. Trust me, you’ll walk out feeling better than when...
Read moreFirst, I’d like to say how much I love my massage therapist Andrae, he is so personable and detailed with his service. I have been coming to him the past 6 months and each time I feel 10x better once I leave. As a psychotherapist receiving monthly massages from him has tremendously helped with my emotional burnout.
The reason I am giving them 3 stars is due to management, Cindy, to be specific. I have been coming to Elements for the past 3 years and have purchased a membership twice. Working most of my professional career in clinical/wellness settings I know the impact of bedside manner when working with customers, providing empathy and understanding while still maintaining the business objectives. My experience with Cindy has consistently felt demeaning and money centered, causing me to feel uncomfortable to continue my membership. I understand the importance of maintaining business policies, but to constantly be charged when I requested to pause membership while I travel seemed excessive after I’ve consistently provided service the past three years or requesting I come in person in order to cancel membership when I informed her im out of the country. It all seems very money hungry, which is frustrating when this is suppose to be my self care and place to decompress. She has done an amazing job with hiring staff because if it wasn’t for them I would have been taken my...
