Basic Burger — Restaurant in Virginia

This place is overall just an awesome spot! No one does it quite like this. The food is amazing, fun & tendy atmosphere, and the staff is awesome. My key notes: •For my spice lovers: they make a Jalapeño relish/spread that is so fresh and delish you can add to any dish - just ask for it •All their bread is flown in fresh from France and you can taste the amazingness in it •The burgers are made of quality meat and it totally shows. Seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Their secret sauce is delicious and compliments it so well. I'm shocked to hear people say the portions are small because I felt the opposite. The burger is a perfect size not small at all and they give you a ton of their string fries which I also loved. You don't feel like crap after eating a burger from here which I appreciate! •If you're trying to stay clear of bread and keep it protein style they offer a lettuce bun substitute. They also have awesome chicken and salad options if you aren't in the mood for beef. •They have a delicious craft soda machine instead of the standard Pepsi/Cola and to top it off they have the little nugget ice cube machine which makes any drink taste better. •Their brunch is super tasty and you have to get the loaded fries with the fried egg on top •I'm a fried pickles fan so I was thrilled to see this on the menu since they are rare to find, also very good. •Their orange juice os deliciously fresh pressed orange juice which is yummy on its own but kills it in mimosas •I love that they have a fun bar! Which no other place like this has. It is stocked with awesome beer (some craft) and great wine options. •I think their prices are extremely fair for the amazing quality you're getting in all their items.

I went here for lunch when on vacation for work.

Was shocked at how good this place was for just being a "basic" lunch burger place.

They do a great job of letting quality ingredients shine through.

The meat the burgers were made from was fantastic and the patties were cooked PERFECTLY. I won't even go to most fast food burger places because the meat is so bad and the burgers are usually cooked burnt to a crisp or, if they give you an option, bloody as hell. Basic Burger gets an A+ in this regard.

The bun on which the burger was showcased did everything that a bun is supposed to do... but it stood out because it was fresh. The burger toppings weren't over the top but they also stood out as being very fresh. Basic sauce: very fresh.

Everything about this place is fresh and does it ever make the difference.

The fried pickles and shake I had to accompany my burger were on point.

Only gripe that I have is that they didn't have jalapenos when I was there. When will restaurant owners realize how important jalapenos are for some people?

I'm really surprised to see any reviews complaining about the portion sizes or the price. First off, there are bigger burgers available on the menu. Second, you have to pay a touch more for quality. Basic Burger seemed spot on for what they offer and I wasn't confused or disappointed in the slightest.

I’m new to Arlington and was looking for a quality burger that isn’t five guys (I like them but I prefer to support local businesses when I can) and Basic Burger totally delivered! I had the basic bacon burger with cheese and asked if they could grill the onions which they did with no problem. When I took my first bite into my burger I knew that I would be a frequent customer there because I had an amazing burger experience until the last bite. And this is saying a lot for me because I tend to think the best burgers come from my kitchen but Basic Burger might have me beat. lol....I also got fries which were just ok, I got the house seasoning on them which I absolutely recommend but it was nothing special and I wish the fries were crispier but not a deal breaker at all. Also, I don’t know how companies keep innovating on the “special sauce”which we all know is some version of thousand island or mayo and ketchup, but the basic sauce is delicious! I’m so glad I had the foresight to order extra on the side because it really livened up...
