We were visiting from out of town and kept hearing people call Moks Market the “Nairobi Market,” so we had to check it out and now we totally get it! The moment we walked in, it felt like a little piece of Kenya right here in Texas.

We got Kenyan maize flour, sausages, gum, sweets, spices, and strong coffees. The best part? The staff was Kenyan, so the conversation flowed in Swahili—felt just like home!

Visited a Kenyan friend and gave me a blueband Kenyan spread to try on bread. It tasted different. I lived in Kenya before and used the blueband that was really good and all had expiration dates. I also work as a QC/QA for flight meals DFW and I usually check expiration dates before using any consumables and was surprised this date appeared to have been erased!! Asked where he purchased it from, it was Moks near arlington Texas. Went there out of curiosity and surely they have all the Blue band dates erased? This is unethical and may be illegal!
