Review for Pickup Department – Employee: Margaret
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience warrants it. I had the unfortunate displeasure of dealing with Margaret in the pickup department—an employee who clearly lacks the basic people skills required for any customer-facing role.
We arrived at the facility a few minutes before the 10:00 AM opening time and were politely told by the security guard to wait until 10:00 AM before entering, which we respected. Despite following instructions, Margaret greeted us with a sour attitude, harshly stating that the guard should not have let us in at 9:57 AM and implying we should have been made to wait outside longer. From that moment forward, her demeanor was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional.
Her attitude was so poor that it soured the entire experience. I genuinely would have rather paid the $300 for shipping than interact with someone so unpleasant. To make matters worse, when she came to check on the crew loading our furniture, she didn’t speak a word to us—no greeting, no updates, not even basic courtesy.
Margaret’s behavior turned what should have been a smooth and simple pickup into a frustrating and uncomfortable encounter. She should not be the face of your pickup department. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, Margaret’s left a lasting...
Read moreUnreal. Waited in line 45 minutes to enter the facility. All of a sudden people started driving up on the exit end and they just allowed them to go inside and cut everyone who had been waiting in line. The girl at the desk inside is nice and helpful and was the only one trying to take initiative to tell the workers in the warehouse to quit standing around after waiting four hours they finally tell you what door to pull up to but that doesn’t matter they literally just assist anybody at anytime it doesn’t matter what time you got there they will help other people well before you. So two hours after closing they decide to load my single chair. Who loads it? None other than the security guard who isn’t even supposed to be doing the furniture loading. He explains that he has been working there and isn’t even getting paid by that company just helping out because he notices that they need some help and hasn’t even taken a break today. He works for the security company. While the young kids are just standing around. Unreal. Apparently the management in this place needs some improvement because if those were my employees standing around and that was the way my company was ran I would be making...
Read moreSo pissed right now with Rooms to go period. My delivery was scheduled for 1pm today. No one was home due to not knowing for sure when the delivery was going to happen. Customer services asked if I would like a 30 minute call prior to delivery, which never happened. Once the guys arrived I got a call from customer service stating they were here. I told her my mom was 10 minutes away, she said they can wait up to 15minutes. When I looked at my camera the guy rung the door bell waiting for about a minute then went back to the truck and drove off. I then called customer service now here it is 523pm and they are telling me that my order has not been returned in the system yet. Remind you that the rep stated the driver can not return due to this being the end of their delivery. So you mean to tell me from around 130pm until now my order has not been documented as returned. Then they proceeded to tell me I would have to wait 24 to 48hrs to call back and reschedule. Also, it could possibly be another week before I receive my product that I have already been waiting 2 months for. This is really unacceptable and will not be purchasing from rooms to go again. This...
