Update: The pandemic has really hit hard the businesses in the Rosslyn area. Several staple eateries around here have succumbed to the lack of visitors able to dine in and are no longer doing business. I'm happy to report that Open Kitchen is still quite "open" and serving great food, M-F.

I recently had the cheeseburger and fries meal (comes with their signature hot sauce on the side) and it is truly wonderful to eat. Perfect portions - in fact I always have a bit of leftovers. I understand they now have a curry meal and will have to check that out on a later visit. Do give them a try as you try to decide what next to eat in Rosslyn.

This cafe is really worth visiting. Nestled away on the ground floor of a pretty high-rise commercial building, Open Kitchen has a little bit of everything. Serving breakfast and lunch, I've had a number of their offerings. My breakfast platter with sausage, pancakes and scrambled eggs was very good, with the right portions for the price. Their burger is very tasty, and I've so far been able to have the meat cooked to my medium to medium-rare preference (that's a request that is sometimes hard to find). My first ever bibimbap was theirs - and with a runny egg on top, it's one of my all-time lunch favorites (by other reviews, that seems to be a hit, too). Today, I tried their fried chicken burger and it was so big, I had to picture it for a review. It was really good and very filling (it's the kind of sized burger that required some mashing down just to fit bites into my mouth). For me, the chicken had the right amount of crisp at the edges along with a really meaty center. I'd definitely get it again - but leftovers are real possibility with this sizable menu option, if you get some fries to tag along. Shout out to the owners for their siracha mayo concoction that seemingly goes with almost everything on the vast menu. Last but not least, wait times are minimal - the staff is friendly and efficient. Seats are plenty and they have a patio, too, which I imagine fills up in...

If there was a 6 star option or more we would give it the top rating!! The restaurant is beautiful and tastefully decorated and comfortable. The customer service was exceptional! We had both an Americano and iced coffee and both were excellent! The classic brunch platter was perfect! Great portion, delicious bacon and the home fries truly tasted like home! The bulgogi sub was delicious and fresh and came with exceptionally good crinkle fries perfectly hot and crispy! We had a wonderful conversation with the owners. It was our last meal after our visit to DC before hitting the road for Toronto! Knowing about our long trip ahead the owners gave us a little snack bag to take with us!!!! When does that ever happen?!?! Go here!! Support this family business!! We sat inside however the patio was in a lovely courtyard! The only trick was finding it! Google maps wasn’t very accurate. Ask a local near by for assistance in finding this place! It’s totally...

Oh my gosh this place is so amazing! I came here with family and we all had an amazing Good Friday brunch together. We ordered tonkatsu and chicken, and it was so so good! The meat for both dishes was so crisp and seasoned just right. I highly recommend the sandwiches as well. I had one, and everything about it was to die for. The packaging was adorable, the sandwich itself had so much flavor and the bread was toasted perfectly. We even got take out to eat for dinner! The atmosphere is very chill and laidback, perfect for any occasion. The service was excellent and the staff were so engaging with their customers. I would come here a...

I was so excited to see Open Kitchen's Korean menu online that I made a trek from my distant office across Rosslyn to come visit. I made it here not only to find that amazing Korean menu, but a vast assortment of Korean drinks, snacks, and a whole ramen bar, all in the most beautiful quaint space! I ordered the sweet and spicy (gochujang) popcorn chicken, which came with radish and a powdering of cheese on top. This is absolutely delicious! I can tell the sauce is housemade, which I give these folks a big kudos for. Overall, super super pleased this is here and I'll regularly be making the trek for lunch. Big ups, Open Kitchen!
