Avoid this place. Shopping for an event can be difficult so make sure you shop around and DONT get led into buying a piece right at the moment. This boutique presents itself as very well kept, as it is very nice walking in but the customer service is what’s most important if I’m buying an outfit worth hundreds of dollars. I found an outfit and tried it on, it went over my head. That does not mean the suit fits. Here’s where the problem starts. I come out of the fitting room 2 times trying to express that it seems weirdly fitted in on me the arms are weird the chest area looks fluffy…. It just did not fit as the way it should have been fitting but no I was shut down and made my mother believe it looked good. I went home and tried it on again and I was like no way I’m wearing it like this so I took it back the next day and said fix it. With a smirk on her face she looks at it and says it’s fine she can’t do anything else to it… excuse me? So you made me pay $25 just for you to not be able to properly tailor my clothing? What kinda joke is that? I could’ve taken it somewhere else in the first place smh. She fixes it a bit and I try it on and at this point I just gave up. If you can’t tailor clothing properly don’t offer that service at all? As I was walking out she tells her other coworker “oh these folks had doubt it didn’t fit” WHAT?? Instead of apologizing, instead of owning up to YOUR mistake you blame your customers for coming in for something that wasn’t fixed correctly? I’m glad I live close by would be unfortunate for those who live far and would have to come back multiple times… Oh and I got it tailored by another person and he even said whatever she did to it was a horrible job and the zipper was done horribly. Be careful...

TLDR; 3 stars because I don't appreciate dishonesty/deception. If they would have said, sorry we can't do the tailoring justice, I would have given them 5 stars. I would go back though, to have a look and get alterations done elsewhere. If you're looking for a nice outfit for a special occasion, then this place is worth looking through, just don't expect too much. I came here to look for a Diwali outfit and found a few nice pieces. The one that I ended up going with was a very beautiful piece that I eventually ended up receiving compliments on. Note that I said eventually. Since everything is ready-made, its understandable that most of the items will need some alterations for proper fitting, that in itself isn't the issue. The tag on my dress said $369. The lady helping us said she'd take it down to $250 and make alterations for free. My dress needed some significant alterations, so we thought it was a nice deal. However, tailoring is clearly not something that they excel in. I felt lied to when I saw the "alterations," but still took the dress because it was a nice piece, but needed real work. In the end, the badly attached zipper was removed, the cups were removed, the loads of extra fabric were cut off from the inside, and some hooks were added. Moral of the story, pretend this is India, and don't believe everything the person trying to sell you something tells you. If you find something cute, pick it up, but don't get it altered here, they don't know what they're doing when it comes to...

I’ve been shopping at three stores in Artesia for clothing for an Indian wedding and felt very overwhelmed and stressed each time. I ended up getting indowestern clothing online. I took my husband to get his outfits and it could not have been a more opposite experience. We accidentally stopped in Vitha Jewelers. All of the staff was so nice, but Kajal (sorry if I messed up the name) was unbelievably helpful. She gave us realistic advice on each event like what colors, styles, formality, when to wear western, etc. so much BETTER than even the bride has for the past year. We were so relaxed and never pressured and even got some options to “change up” one outfit and use his kurta for two events (this has been unheard of in other stores). We left with two kurta sets for him and so happy with our purchases and experience. Really couldn’t recommended...
