Food is great at this place compared to other restaurants but the service is worst. Otherwise they deserve a 5 star. Have been here multiple times but always they have disappointed in terms of service.
Limited staff and handfull of tables. You can estimate a waiting time more than 30mins even after you have been seated and hardly somebody will show up with ur food unless you go and follow up at the cash register.
If u stay nearby then this place is great for carry-out becoz they are very prompt on their To-Go order. And you can enjoy the food from the comfort of your home , rather than ordering and waiting 1/2 - 1 hr at the table. Don’t dine in unless you have any other option.
Ohh !! 1 last thing avoid buying naan here. They give you frozen ready to eat naans and charge $1.99 each. These are hardly near any naan you may have eaten somewhere else.
@Pista house- Guys you really need to focus on your customers seated at the table in the restaurant and increase your efficiency & co-ordination for table orders rather focussing on...
Read moreI've ordered the vegetable dum biryani and bezawada/vijayawada biryani from Biriyani Factory before. I prefer the Hyderabadi dum biryani a little more, since the rice was fluffy and the grains were not sticky. Moreover, the choice of vegetables (melon, capsicum, cauliflower, carrot) were cooked in steam and did not appear to be the type that's from a frozen package. The biryani was neither oily nor heavy, and therefore easy to digest. It came with some mirchi salan, a savory gravy that tasted like a blend of peanut, tamarind, and roasted bell pepper.
The bezawada was more rich in spices and fiery hot compared to the Hyderabadi biryani. Although it's the signature dish at Biriyani Factory, I probably wouldn't order it again since the rice and chili-marinated boneless fried chicken had a rough and dry texture, like almost fully boiled. I did appreciate the accompanying peanut salan though, it's very bright and bold. I think that this restaurant makes the best tasting side of gravy for biryani in LA, second to...
Read moreEditing my previous review and changing the rating from 4 to 2 as this thing kept repeating, and things got worst according to me, and I do not want to misguide the customers with a 4 star rating. As per my recent experience, I again had the same experience with burnt pieces, entire biriyani was filled with bone pieces with literally no meat, blunt and dry rice.
Pista house had never let us down when it comes to biriyani (except for our recent visit on 07/18). It has the best south style/Hyderabadi biriyani in or around Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego county. Today was the first time the biriyani did not meet our expectation, where I got biriyani with literally all burnt goat pieces. I still give 4 star just that I had pista house biriyani for several times and every single time it tasted amazing and consistent, except for today. This post is to just make the owners/chefs aware that one bad experience may ruin the reputation of a good restaurant, and that’s the same reason I am giving 4 star instead of...
