My review was as follows : Amazing sandwiches, but no one seems to pick up the phone...

I left a less than perfect review but to be honest I love what your doing.

You told me to order online... from where... Your website dosnt have a menu... its difficult to find you on Facebook but I did find you. When I read your response, I googled, Asheville Forager order online... nothing comes up...

Can yall streamline all this stuff...

Please!!!! Put your menu on your website and a way to order there online. Its a stuggle to go to many different websites to get the info then find a place to order online... streamline.

Your sandwhichs are amazing!!!! I'd order daily if it was a little easier.

Sorry that you needed to hurt our brand new 5.0 rating for a phone but we appreciate the feedback. We are living wage certified which means we have less employees to take care of the ones we have and that means we (the owners) are the ones doing everything including answering the phones and making the subs and socials etc. Weird about not finding us on FB we have close to 1,000 followers in 2 weeks. FB did require us to have the word "The" in front of it. Our new menu just rolled out 2 days ago and we are still adding/taking things off based on feedback but I will put the temp one on our website. We are working on online ordering - we had someone who was supposed to start for online orders/e-bikes and they no call no showed on their first day. We are hoping to have the online ordering going by Monday. I am sorry you needed to leave the "less than perfect review" but we are trying super hard to keep local local with all of our vendors and bring Asheville back to life on Wall Street. We hope, in the future, you reach out to let us know how we can help without the hurt on the reviews. Thank you for your understanding as we work out the kinks in our first couple of weeks here! I wish them...

I was excited to hear of a downtown grocery store opening up in Asheville, especially after the devastation of so many small businesses here in the fallout of Helene. While I appreciate the effort here, it just falls a little flat for me. It’s not so much a grocery store as it is a place to get niche knickknacks. That’s all well and good. The real disappointment for me was the deli.

I have been praying for a NY style deli counter in Asheville since I moved here from Brooklyn in 2018. Many have attempted, many have failed. This place has the appearance of that thing I want, right down to the butcher paper wrap. But it doesn’t quite hit. I came once for the Proper Thomas, and I was a little surprised not to see deli sliced turkey, but pulled turkey—Thanksgiving style—on the sandwich. Wouldn’t have been a problem if it was flavorful, but overall the taste was bland and the bread was middling. I thought I’d give them another chance, so I went back and got the Bumkum. Surely the addition of ham & salami would elevate this sandwich. It was better, but it still left me feeling like I could’ve just gone to Jersey Mike’s and had an equivalent experience.

I hate to be negative about this place, because I think they are bringing a valuable service to downtown, and the sandwiches are relatively affordable. Alas, it brings me no pleasure to report that the wait continues for an elite deli sandwich...

We've been wanting to stop in since they opened and were able to for a Father's Day lunch. Exceeded expectations! My son got the Monstah sub and got through 1/3 of it. Those mushrooms! The adults each got a pastrami that we could have easily shared. We also tried the pastries, which are incredible. All three of us agreed they were the best sandwiches we've ever had. Rolled out of there super satisfied and happy. As somebody who works downtown and finds it hard to eat out for lunch, this is definitely an affordable option as it's enough for two meals. Will be back to get fresh produce as well, it's farm co-op box quality and affordable. Thrilled to see beautiful black trumpet mushrooms available here. Grateful to have this place available to...
