The Great Escape Room Asheville — Attraction in Asheville

Did the Presidents Bunker with my husband and teenage son. The room itself is pretty fun. Lots of neat puzzles and some fun surprises. I don’t do escape rooms all the time but I have been doing them for years. This was the first time I have ever been to one where we had an unlimited number of guesses (?). At first I wasn’t sure why we received a tablet with a hint button. I’ve never seen that before. Then, some of the hints we received were for things we had already done. So, we would have to wait for a hint and then it would be something we had already completed. On the one hand, if you like something extra to add to the thrill and anxiety of finishing the room then this might be your thing. It was not mine. Apparently their hosts are remote and are assisting multiple locations at a time. So, it’s hard for them to keep up with what you’ve done. At this price point I think I prefer to go to one where we have our host there, even if it means paying a little more and also having to tip. Loved the plot. Enjoyed the room. Very clean and well maintained. Wish there was a dedicated host...

Paid 180.00 for a cancelled reservation - NO REFUND. I walked in on a date night in Asheville and reserved a room for a few hours later that day. After walking around Ashville and having dinner, my group was exhausted and wanted to head home. I returned t the establishment and asked to cancel the reservation. The attendant agreed and canceled the room, she told me the refund will be in the account in 24/48 hours. 1 week later no refund, I called the establishment and talked to a guy on the phone, he said the room was definitely cancelled and he will contact management about the refund and call me back. 1 week later no call back. I wrote an email to the corporate, got an auto reply that they would contact me, 1 week later no contact. $180.00 and all I got to experience was disappointment and frustration. Had a SPECTACULAR time thanks to the one and only Joshua... Where do I even begin to describe how SENSATIONAL he was. Josh was an absolutely incredible game master, the kind that every escape room player DREAMS of having.
