I don't know what's happened to the late night crew here, but the last couple of times I've come they have been super rude. A couple of months ago I came in around 4 am and there were only 2 employees working. One came in from around the back of the building obviously high as blazes on something and immediately fell asleep sitting at the counter. The other with bright purple hair took my order for an omelet, washed her hands, grabbed the dirtiest omelet pan I've ever seen out from under the grill, said something about how others apparently didn't take care of the omelet pan, proceeded to wipe it out with the paper towel she had just used to dry her hands, then said she couldn't make me an omelet because the milkshake frother thing they use to beat eggs wouldn't turn on. She had already taken my money and had to issue a refund. I got out of there as quickly as possible.
Last night around the same time I decided to go back thinking that there was no way those two employees could still be working there, and they weren't that I noticed, but I was screamed at as soon as I opened the door by a short older lady with short blonde hair "WE'RE CLOSED!" In the rudest voice possible. Taken aback and thinking I had done something wrong by simply walking into a 24 hour restaurant at 4 am I said, "you're closed?" And this woman, not even listening to the question I asked or even looking at me screamed "NO SIR!" And stormed off.
Look, I get having to close down for a bit late night in order to clean. But at least turn off a light or lock a door or something to indicate to potential customers you're not open right then. Don't just scream at people who have done nothing to you for walking through the door thinking a staffed 24 hour restaurant is actually open 24 hours.
Whoever is managing this place needs to train their late night staff in basic customer service and cleanliness skills. Or at least hire people without the personalities of troglodytes. There is no excuse for any of the behavior I've witnessed...

Our server Mesha, was great.. 5 🌟... But her Cook/CoWorker/Trainer Rebecca.... is an example of the very reason turn over rates are high. Standing out front of the establishment smoking where customers can see her. Knowing she was only cook, yet didn't come inside when customer pulled in. She had to be told to come in, which is sad really.. Once inside she neglected to wash her hands. Her only concern was "who took the pot off?" "You messed up the sandwich press" When Mesha chimes in "I did because it was boiling over, I didn't know what else to do.." Rebecca responds with "well you shouldn't have messed with it, you messed up my sandwich press." But it doesn't end with that. NOPE.. Rebecca then proceeds to tell another employee how Mesha messed up.. At this point I'm livid, I loudly, yet politely voice my concern.. My hubby sssh me.. I have been a server 10+ years.. The way Rebecca treated Mesha. The disrespect. It still is bothering me. LEADERS IN A COMPANY SHOULD GIVE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, IN PRIVATE. LEADERS SHOULD SET AN EXAMPLE AND LEAD BY IT. Read moreThe cook here ( a woman with pink/purple hair) had no sense of urgency when cooking anyone's food, and had her mask down a good portion of the time, or it was below her nose at best.
Another woman there wearing a gray beanie, was also lacking a sense of urgency- slowly flipping bacon over with a drink in the other hand, mask below her mouth 90% of the time.
The guy there was doing most of the work- my eggs weren't cooked right, and he offered to fix it, so he brought it over to the girl with purple hair, to which she raised her voice at him. He apologized to her; even if it was his fault, there's no need to berate anyone, especially in front of guests.
My bacon was cold because it sat out, hashbrowns were burnt and there were hardly any onions in them.
Going back to the guy doing most of the work, he was taking most everyone's orders, cleaning tables, running the register, and was the only one wearing a mask properly.
The one with the beanie was scraping something off of the wall with a knife (I couldn't really see anything there), instead of helping this guy take care of guests, which by the way, it was getting pretty busy in there.
There were people waiting in line to be seated, my girlfriend didn't even get a chance to pay for her food at the register, so she put cash on the...
