Four Corners Home — Local services in Asheville

I am about to write a glowing review of my experience at Four Corners Home and Stacey McDaniel in particular...but I'll tell you the whole story because I want you to know HOW and WHY we recommend this business and this associate so enthusiastically. My husband and I found a condo to lease for one year (hopefully more) last fall. We'd only been looking at fully furnished places. However, we found just what we wanted quite by accident, and it was completely unfurnished. We signed the lease, but only had about three weeks in Asheville to select and order everything before returning to our home in Florida. Thinking we could save some money and tap into our own experience decorating many homes over the years, we started out on our search of all KINDS of stores - outlets, consignment, out of the way shops, on line, etc...Lots of leg work and exhaustion later, we wandered into Four Corners in downtown Asheville. Thinking that we'd just get a few things there, we began a conversation with Stacey and described our needs. There was absolutely no pressure from her at all; she was happy to help us put our home together whether she was doing all or part of the job. As the days went along, we soon realized that the prices at Four Corners were incredibly reasonable; their design assistance was invaluable; their options for storage and delivery fulfilled all our needs; and before you knew it we were pulling back on our shopping at the "other" places and putting more and more of the project in Stacey's lap. Yes, she did have to work around some of our bargain "finds" we picked up at other places, but she actually seemed to appreciate our eclecticism and helped us feel comfortable that it would all work together. And, VOILA! It did! We moved in last week and Stacey even helped us iron out a few spatial bug-a-boos when it came to arranging the pieces in our living and dining area. If you have read this far....thanks. Because I want you to know about our great experience and I trust that you will feel the same if you wander into Four Corners and ask for Stacey. Quality, a great "look" that fits the Asheville vibe, friendly and knowledgeable associates, reasonable prices. I couldn't ask for more. I'd give 10 stars if I could! We came across this fantastic store on a trip to Asheville many years ago. Melissa was very friendly and welcoming. As we were bouncing around, sitting on what seemed to be an endless room of phenomenal sofas, Melissa offered to design a furniture layout for our beach home. Even though we lived in Maryland, Melissa was more than happy to work with us. After a bit of back-and-forth with phone calls, emails and texts, we went ahead and made our fabric selectiond and placed the order. When everything arrived, we couldn't have been more pleased! Melissa did an absolutely Amazing job choosing the furniture, laying out the rooms, and also nailing the exact style we were looking for. We have received so many compliments on the Homes interior! When we purchased a smaller 1920s home this past year, we knew we had to have Melissa help us again. We have complete faith in her and all of Four Corners Home products. This home was very different from our beach house, still, Melissa quickly got a handle on exactly what we were looking for. She put together an artful and tasteful combination of items that made every room cozy and perfect. There were even a few times during the design process where I wasn't exactly sure which option to choose and so just followed her lead. I am so glad that I did! Both homes are very different styles, but they're both absolutely gorgeous. I'm so thankful that we wandered into that store in Asheville so many years ago. Melissa really understands what her clients want and works hard to make their visions come true, and the second time we worked with her, she did all of this during the hurricane that wiped out most of Asheville. I could not recommend Four Corners and Melissa more and I could not be happier with all of their gorgeous, comfortable and durable...

We moved to Asheville in May 0f 2020 ( right at the beginning of the pandemic). We’d stopped into 4 Corners by chance and met Melissa Howard late 2019 when house hunting. Over the next few months we began working from Maine (via phone and email) on a project to redecorate in a more contemporary style, leaving most our traditional “selves” in Maine. She had our backs through the entire process as we selected pieces for the new house we were building. And orchestrated getting some pieces into a temporary rental that served as home while that build progressed. We fondly call our house “4 Corners West” and are so very happy with the pieces we have and our new look. Needless to say we never could have accomplished so much with our Melissa’s guidance. She easily interpreted the look we were going and always had the best ideas and suggestions. Our last piece from 4 Corners arrived earlier this year and (at least for now) our house has “everything”, delivered by a professional and caring team.
