I love this idea for a shop! Such a good combination of product. This place was definitely more than I expected from the name though. They have jars out so you can smell all the different spices and teas. There are so many spice blends that would be good for a variety of different dishes. We ended up going with the Tuscany spice blend to use with olive oil on chicken! I can't wait to try it out! They also have the spices sold individually if you are looking for something specific. Also I thought it was really neat how many different salt blends they have! They also sell teapots and tea infusers. I had to get the manatee one because it was too cute! We're a regular and we're always happy when Irish helps us. She's very knowledgeable and always answers our questions with real suggestions. Not just fluffy answers with no content.

I appreciate that she lets us browse and doesn't interact with us every 30 seconds like some of the other employees. I'm sure the "overlyhelpful employees" probably are doing what the boss wants or something but I appreciate the peace and solitude while looking around.

I like that you can preview what the tea and spices smell like before purchasing them! I don't know that I would buy too much if they didn't allow that. It would be too much of a gamble.

My wife and I love the quality and selection of loose leaf teas at The Spice & Tea Exchange, unfortunately their South Park Charlotte location has recently closed. I was in Asheville for work and decided to visit the location there to get some tea(s). I got there just as they were closing, at least I thought but the doors had already been locked. There was a young lady working that night who was named Irish. I told her that I came all the way from Charlotte, she kindly let me into the store and provided excellent customer service. She was able to help clarify all of my questions, and helped me narrow down tea choices for my wife based on my responses.
