The bouncer at the door decided to discriminate for no good reason. He did not allow my girlfriend and guy friend to go in. When he was asked why he responded by saying they were at occupancy (but they didn't have a clicker to keep count with). My girlfriend and guy friend walked away after being disrespected numerous times throughout the conversation exchange with the bouncer. When I approached the door the other bouncer said "hey honey want to come in" ( obvious discrimination to my girlfriend and guy friend). I asked why I was allowed in but the two people That were with me weren't.. having NO answer /reason he allowed us in... with attitude.. once in, they attempted to call my girlfriend out on her DL... she's 29, nothing wrong with her DL.. bouncers simply wanting to have control of the situation.. letting their job get to their heads. When my girlfriend was finally allowed to walk in she was grabbed by her jacket and pulled by the bouncer because he hadn't stamped her hand. Apparently it's hard to say "excuse me ma'am we need to stamp your hand." I was offended by the attitude and disrespect we received from both bouncers and how they were handling situations. I decided to make the manager aware of the situation. I have been in the bar business and I've managed a bar, so my expectations may be a little to high for this place. Her attitude and response to my complains were just as disrespectful as the response I received from the bouncers. If a customer is willing to spend money in your bar treat them with respect and class. The disrespect only makes you look like a trashy business that is being poorly managed. We should have turned away after the disrespect we received from the bouncers, but had friends inside from out of town we wanted to see so decided to go in. I will not return to this bar nor will I refer my friends to it. Regardless, it was not the atmosphere that comes with the name "beer garden" it was trashy, two fights broke out while we were there, and it's poorly...

I am highly disappointed with their customer service and very disrespectful security guards. Last night the security officers started shouting out loud, “Get the F* out of here!” 15 to 20 min before the Bier Garden closes, which the closing time is stated on the door and website 2:00am. As I was sitting at the bar finishing my drink, the security guards proceeded to shout and come over to my boyfriend and I sitting at the bar, celebrating our one year anniversary together. Shouting, “We are closed, get out of here!”. As he stands hovering over us at the bar with his hand on the back of our chair. I sit there finishing my drink that I have ordered and paid for. I proceeded to finish my drink and I stated that the sign said that the bar closed at 2:00am. The security guard stated “No, we close now! Y’all just going to sit here!?” I took my last sip and stood up and started leaving the bar at 1:43. As I was walking away the bartender stated, “Get out of here you needy little B**!”, which was completely uncalled for, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I walked out of the bar way before closing time and stated that they were being disrespectful and told them I was filling a complaint. None of the staff seemed to care about the dissatisfaction of the customer, me, or the disrespect that they had for me. They all just laughed and teamed up with one another disrespecting the customers inside the restaurant and pushing them out well before closing time! Long story short we were harassed by the staff of the bar, shouted at, called names, and completely disrespected just so they could leave a little early. You do not treat people the way that the bar staff was treating...

My son and I called ahead to make sure they were playing UEFA league finals. We showed up 30 minutes before the game and there was nobody in the bar. There was at least 30-40 open tables. We sat in front of the large screen at one of the many tables. A girl immediately came up and told us that if it's only two of us that we may have to move you from this table. Mind you most of the tables there are 6-8 person pub tables. I told her that we did have more coming but there was nobody in the bar. We were the only ones there and had to find the manager just to get the game on the screen. Then 10 minutes later a guy shows up to ask what we would like. We ordered to sodas and a water. He returned with the drinks and informed us that if we wanted to watch the game we couldn't just order drinks. We would have to order beer or food or we couldn't stay. WTH!! I informed him that we would but we were waiting on more friends. Once the game started playing a few people showed up but by no means was it even close to being half way full. Friends showed up and we ordered three different items along with 6 alcohol beverages. We had to keep reminding the server for our drinks throughout the game. Mind you the place was not busy. He ended up forgetting the last drink twice and we told him to forget it and just bring the bill. We are locals and I used to frequent here many years ago. This was the first time back in about 6 years. Whoever is running or owning this place now needs to reestablish proper server etiquette and people skills. I feel bad for the tourists showing up here.....what a great...

We drove up from Greenville on a Sunday afternoon to check out The Bier Garden on the recommendation of a family member. We were not disappointed! First of all, at 2pm, the place was dead. So we had our choice of just about any table and service was excellent. We ordered the Korean pork belly bites (delicious!) and the ginormous pretzel. Both were excellent! The pretzel was nice and soft, lots of butter and salt. I didn't care for the beir cheese, though. Although I don't really like mustard, the type of mustard they gave you for the pretzel was actually very good. There was a great beer selection, probably the best I've seen in Asheville. But for some reason, none of the three we tried were very cold. I also had an old fashioned. Very good! Then, for our main course, we both had burgers. I gotta say, it's probably one of the best burgers I've ever had out. The bun was fresh and soft. The patty was huge and actually was bigger than the bun. And cooked perfectly - medium rare. Small side salad was very good, too. Although we didn't go to the bar area, it looked like it had a fun, rather large, game room area We will definitely be going back!

The Beer Garden in downtown Asheville is a must-visit spot for craft beer lovers and anyone looking for a great time! With an impressive selection of craft brews from all over, they now take things to the next level by brewing their own beer right on-site—each one a testament to their passion for quality and flavor. But The Beer Garden isn’t just about the drinks. It’s a vibrant space packed with fun for everyone. Pool tables and an arcade add an extra layer of entertainment, making it a perfect spot to hang out with friends or family. Sports fans will love the big-screen TVs showing all the games, creating an electric atmosphere on game day. The vibe is welcoming and relaxed, and there’s truly something for everyone—whether you’re there to sample a flight of local brews, enjoy a friendly game of pool, or let the kids have fun in the arcade. It’s a great place to kick back, soak in the lively energy, and enjoy a little bit of everything Asheville has to offer. The Beer Garden perfectly combines craft beer, entertainment, and community. It’s a place you’ll find yourself coming back to again and again. Cheers to that!
