The Event Space at Hi-Wire Brewing — Local services in Asheville

The short: Extremely dissapointing, they stole our deposit in a pandemic.

The long: We live in Asheville and had planned to have our wedding reception here in July of 2020, and we had booked well before the covid crisis hit. As we approached the day of the event, the event coordinator said Hi-Wire would not be able to accommodate our guests due to the gathering limits (we understand this and fully support the gathering limits). We were not interested in rebooking for 2021, and since Hi-Wire could not accommodate the 150 people agreed on in the contract, and due to circumstances none of us could control, we asked for our $1K deposit returned. They refused and instead chose to keep our money. I understand if they didn't have the liquid funds at the time but they wouldn't even throw us a keg or some beer as a show of good faith. Hi-Wire Event Space was the perfect location for our wedding! It is in a fantastic location close to great hotels and Robin and their team are the best to work with. They have great recommendations for vendors who consistently service weddings at the venue so you can be sure that your florist, DJ, and planner know exactly what the space looks like and how to decorate.

We had about 108 guests at our wedding and it was the perfect fit! Since we had our ceremony and cocktail hour outside in the bier garden, it seemed to be the perfect amount of people to show a packed wedding but also have enough room to move around and set up catering outside. The Event Space for the reception was so big for our 108 guests, did not feel tight at all.

The getting ready rooms are perfect. Both are HUGE and spending all morning there is the best with TVs in the rooms, games and so many mirrors and hangers so your whole party can hang together.

We hosted a wedding welcome party in the industrial Bier Garden behind the brewery. It was so cool and they were so great to work with.

The space and aesthetic were exactly what we were looking for. They allowed us to bring a charcuterie board and the delicious on site food truck was there for folks wanting more. It was really cool to walk through the brewery and they made us a nice congratulatory sign for our event. I loved all the plants, seating, space for our food.

Robin was so great to work with and the space was very reasonably priced. Communication and payment leading up to the event was extremely responsive and easy.

In addition to the tasty beer, beverage choices included pinot noir, cabernet, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc available for wine choices that evening, along with multiple cider and selzer options. Everyone was happy.
