If I could give no stars, I would. I ordered online from Lenny's website for delivery. I received an email from Lenny's confirming my order and providing me with a link to track delivery. No where on the website or the confirmation email did it say the order was being delivered via a third party. I tracked my order. It said "delivered". I did not receive the order. I called the location to be told by a lady named Deena that I needed to give it more time, that the order was just picked up. I explained to her that the status on Lenny's tracker says "delivered ". She still insisted I wait another 15 mins to see if it arrives. After 15 mins and no order, I called back. Spoke to same lady. She told me she couldn't help me and I needed to contact DoorDash. I told her that I didn't order from Door Dash, I ordered directly from Lenny's site. She said "well DoorDash picked up your order, so that's who you need to deal with." I asked " how am I supposed to contact someone who I have no information on? No phone number? No name?". It was at this point I asked for a refund. She told me I needed to call her boss and gave me his cell phone. Asseff, her boss, told me he needed to call DoorDash to see what was going on. I told him " that's fine to do that for your end of the transaction, but I have to make other arrangements for dinner and I'd just like for you to process a refund ". He proceeded to tell me " ma'am that's not how business works". When I tried to talk he talked over me. He refused to refund my money until he spoke to DoorDash, a third party delivery service that his business contracted with, not me. I eventually hung up on him and said I'd dispute the charge with my bank instead. He called me back and said he would refund my money but it would take several days and may even be next week. He said he has to personally go to the store and process the refund and that no other employee at his location can handle this today. I asked why it would take a week and he said the refunds are only processed on business days and not weekends. Today is Tuesday. I am beyond perplexed at the poor level of customer service at this location. Lenny's, the sub sandwich market is chocked full of competitors. You can't afford to have instances like this. Do better. Roast beef was rare which is difficult to find in most sub places and all the veggies made it work together. I use their app to pre-order and pay. I just walk in, grab my bag and go. The one time there was an issue was totally my fault I ordered six box lunches for a crew of workers at my house, right at noon not looking at the pick up time on the app. When I arrived 15 minutes later they weren’t ready. If I’d read the actual pickup time I’d have known it should have been an hour and 15 for that larger order.
