BoxLunch always offers such a unique atmosphere that seems to set it apart from other pop culture stores, including its sister store, Hot Topic. The people they employ are always incredibly kind and embody what I feel a retail employee should be; friendly and offering help when you arrive, and if you do not need it, they let you go about your business shopping unless relevant circumstances arise (stepping in to help when asked, offering reminders of sales and discounts when you check out, etc.). They’re always taking care of part of the store, but in such a way that they are available to the customer. While I may be biased as I used to work at HT at a different location under the same store manager, I can say both with my experience as a shopper and someone on the inside that they truly care about their jobs, employees, and customers. And as someone with social anxiety who usually likes being left alone when I shop, they say and do what they need to do to help you feel welcome and comfortable, and then know when to let you be. :) The store manager is one of the kindest, most compassionate, and most authentic managers I have ever met, and there truly is no one better qualified to run that store. My daughter (14) and I stopped in on Sunday 10/5/25 as she had Birthday money to spend. We were greeted by Elise (I apologize if name spelt incorrectly), they were extremely helpful & knowledgeable. They complimented my daughter's anime shirt & were extremely sweet to her. At checkout Elise & another sales associate continued to have conversations with her about Anime & thier favorite characters.
