Okay let me preface this by saying that this is the SECOND time that this has happened to me at this store.
I went to DSW to look for a pair of Mix no. 6 boots I found online for my boyfriendâs graduation, and to browse whatever else they had. Two middle aged men were staring at me and following me around the entire time, eyeing the boxes I would put back after trying them on, presumably paranoid loss prevention employees. Whatever, itâs a part of retail, I tried to ignore it.
But it got to the point where I could literally feel the hairs on the back of my neck standing up, so I turn around and theyâre just standing in a corner staring me down, right in the eye, like no oneâs business. One of the creepiest experiences I've had, ever.
I got so fed up that I just tossed the box back on the stack and left without buying what I came for. And again, this is the SECOND, individual time this has happened at this store.
These employees need to calm down and leave people alone. From the reviews, I see that I'm not the only person who has had this experience here. Iâll stick to shopping online to avoid the creeps at this store. I recommend other women avoid it, too.
And if they WERENâT loss prevention, then this store has a frequent issue of middle aged men coming into the store just to stare at young women trying on shoes.
Two stars because the boots were pretty nice and I'll be buying...
Read moreI have shopped at DSW for many years, this experience was distasteful, racial. I went to kids section to find a pair of shoes for my grandson. Sat down with him to try on shoes, took off one of his shoes placed it next to me on the seat...one of the floor associates walked by and took the shoe. I'm guessing she though the shoe was left behind or whatever... Never once did she ask if the shoe belong to us, she just walked away with it. So when I noticed the shoe was gone I'm like Really!! So another associate passing by, I called to her she came over and I explained what happened. We together looked around for the shoe, No shoe. She said let me go up front and check, so seconds later the associate that had walked by came asking if everything was ok, I said NO my grandson shoe is missing. So she walks around me and toss the shoe on the floor and said...Here it is... "I'm like Wow" she could have just handed it to me and said Sorry for taking the shoe. I was so mad.. I didn't say anything to her just looked at her, She walked away. Yes I purchased the pair of shoe, but just know I will not shop at that particular store again. Upon purchasing the shoes, this associate would not even complete the sale, she told the other associate to do it. I'm hoping someone from management reads this review and have a conversation with ALL your Floor...
Read moreMy mom is older. They had no blankets left for the recent coupon DSW is currently advertising. So they offer her a cheap lightweight burlap bag for shoes and takes her coupon. I, who already checked out, is approached by my mom who looks very disappointed. I go up and tell them that this isnât a fair trade, itâs not her fault that they donât have the blanket and they can have their cheap bag back and we want our coupon back. The women were very rude and sarcastic and you could tell they were embarrassed that they got caught taking advantage of her. One woman said, that they didnât need to give her anything and I said, then they shouldnât have taken her coupon! So disappointed and a little outraged. Who knows how many times they have pulled this con type of behavior on people for the sake of...
