Normally a big fan of Lane Bryant stores. This particular store could use some help. When I entered the store, the one sales associate was assisting another customer, and the other one was standing behind the register not doing anything. Not once did anyone offer their assistance, or ask if I needed help finding anything. When I was ready to try on my selections, the sales associate had disappeared. I stood by the register for about 5 minutes before another sales associate came along and offered me a changing room. (Changing room had bare drywall exposed in parts and also bubbling, peeling paint. There were little paint shavings all over the floor.) I made my selections and went to the register, where I stood again waiting. When the associate came up, she took my items and was about to start ringing them up when another customer came up needing her assistance, she decided to help the other customer and told me, I'll be right back. After she helped the other customer, she came back and began ringing up my stuff, without a word. I told her I was disappointed with my experience that day and she responds with, "oh, did you need help finding something?" Hmmm, I'm already checking out so it's a little late now was my response. To which she got super defensive and said she was busy helping another customer. I wasn't about to argue with the clerk, so I said nothing and waited for her to give me my total. She stood there silently staring at me with her hand out.... I finally asked, what is the total? She finally told me my total and gave me my change, I had to ask for my receipt. I called the store location in Green Bay, WI on 11/8/23 and spoke with a woman on the phone about an exchange for a bra. She was pretty rude and wasn't really listening to what I was asking. I didn't have the order number of the exchange at first, but I found it and called the store again. I could actually overhear the storeworkers whispering saying "Is that her again?" And then I spoke with a woman I believe her name is Joy or Joyce. She was a bit rude at first but she at least put my mind at ease when she found proof of the exchange in their system using my phone number. I do like shopping at Lane Bryant but I think maybe some of the store employees could benefit from some active listening and empathy training. I know some customers can be difficult and I've lost patience before also working in the customer service industry. I really hope the store employees at the Green Bay WI location see...
