Pat's Pantry — Local services in Astoria

This may be my new favorite place. As an enthusiastic cook and lover of tea this store is perfect. Extra points for having a website to ship as well since I am about a two hour drive away. We came in a couple weeks ago on a Tuesday Five minutes to the store closing, noticed operating hours as we were walking in and we were going to skip, but she welcomed us right in. I didn't want to keep her from closing so I just grabbed a Ghost Chile salt and a smoked salt to take home and try with the intention of placing an order on the website for more things I saw.

Both Salts are FANTASTIC! I am super glad these were my first picks. That Ghost Chile salt is wonderful and it does not take much to pack a heat punch. We couldn't wait until we got home so we tried a pinch of each on the drive back. Used the smoke season salt on some smashburgers and it was chefs kiss!!

She was very polite and accommodating so close to closing. Next time we are in Astoria I will be back to focus on the teas and pick out some to take home!!! Thank you for allowing us to...

I drive to Astoria specifically for the Pizza Seasoning blend, because it renders me (just like a good pork fat) speechless. Even thought I risk running into my ex, this place is worth the awkwardness.

I'd be remiss to not mention the salt selection, from large crystals to a fine sprinkle, it will do everything that salt block your ex in-laws promised, but much better (omit petty joke here).

The Marigold tea is exceptional, and I highly recommend it for an evening nightcap before bed...

I love Pat's Panty. They have a huge selection of spices and locally sourced products. If they don't have it on the shelf it is likely they can get it for you. They are located in the heart of the downtown historical district. I believe they have plans to expand their offerings as well. Most items can be purchased in a variety of sizes and you can specify just how much you want. They also have numerous spice blends that are crafted on site. Make this a regular stop on shopping day to add fresh spice flavor to any dish....
