I was a first tune customer at this salon....my stylist that I selected from her profile picture was Renee, she had short hard from the booking, which I felt like she would be a good person to do my short cut style on. I arrived to the salon at 9:42 am for my 10:00 appointment, I was seen until 10:15 AM. That should have been the first sign of warning ⚠️ as to how the remaining 4 hours would be for just a wash and style. No perm, No color, nothing extra not even a deep condition treatment. I will say she seem nice, however if I don't value my time then who will....just out of respect if I booked an appointment I'm expecting to be seen in the order that I arrived. Ladies we know who walks into the salon and what order we arrived, so if I know I arrived at 10:00 AM but then you have someone come in around 11:00, they should not be getting styled before me. Just out of RESPECT.....of my time which I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot, I would have probably been appointment canceled or charged a 50% fee. I just felt broken that I continued to wait, even when she called over for the 11:00 appointment over she looked at me like I thought you were next....that was the clear indication that we are aware of the order. They even when I was thinking about just walking out I inquired about home much a wash was but then Renee stated that it would be only 25 more minutes when originally I should be leaving in 25 minutes not waiting 25 minutes. I know know why some stylist are treated they way they are.....not saying it's right but I pride myself of being pleasent and punctual. It's unfortunate that when we try to support each other as BLACK women.....it's not showen equally. What's even ironic is Atlanta is big but a very small elite community. You never know who knows who, or what potential opportunities could have been made..... Glad that I was scouting for a upcoming pilot to a major network......and this is one location that I can cross of the list....As a business owner.....never cut yourself short. I did get a chance to express this to the one of the owners of the salon......no resolution was given or even a...
Read moreI was so excited to try this salon. I was new to the area and it was super convenient. My hair has been natural for 20 years and I wear it curly - mostly wash and go's or twist-outs. I only get my hair done once or twice a year for deep conditioning and hydration. I went for a consult and was given an appointment. The stylist washed my hair, blew it out for a trim, applied some type of product to "strengthen the bond" of my curls and to give them definition. I sat under the hydration machine and then under the dryer. When she finished, I wasn't thrilled (it was super curly and the shrinkage from sitting under the dryer was not cute) but figured it would be fine after the curls loosened a bit. I continued wearing my twist-outs and a few weeks later, I noticed that my hair was feeling limp (I didn't change any of the products I use at home) and the curls were extremely loose. Over the next week or so, my hair got straighter and straighter - until it was bone straight. No amount of washing, or curling conditioner could restore the curls. My hair looked like it had been relaxed. I went back to the salon to ask what the product was and was met with a few things: I called the owner, she in turn had the stylist to call me. The stylist was defensive and argumentative - determining that something internal must be causing my hair to now be PERM-straight. The salon had no record of the services I received. I was informed that according to their records, I only received a shampoo and style so she couldn't speak to me about the products that were used. No one ever said, not once, to come by and let me take a look at it and see if we can do anything. After the owner passed me off to the stylist, no one ever looped back to see if it had been rectified. I've since had a strand analysis done and I'm still trying to decide on my next move. I couldn't in good conscious give a decent review, or not give a review, knowing that I have had the absolute worst experience ever. I'm stuck with this hair for the next 2-3 years OR face having to chop it all off. Wasn't...
Read moreI was suggested this salon from a friend whom gets her hair done at this salon as well. First off, it took 2 days to receive a phone call back to book an APPOINTMENT, then once booked, I receive a stylist named Danie. The women was nice but I needed my hair done for a special occasion, meaning, this was a style that needed longevity. While getting my hair done, the stylist sewed my head SO tight to where my scalp was throbbing. While getting it done, it didn’t feel as concerning until after the 3 day mark. It’s been a full 8 days with this sew in, and my scalp is on FIRE. My extensions were in fact not properly sewed, and due to this, my hair is super itchy and dry. I had to immediately take this out before I received bald spots in my head that I did not want as an end result.
Then when I asked the stylist for a refund, she took forever to reply back + never gave me my money back, and blamed it on my own hair condition. HA. Stunned is not even the word. If you consider going to this salon, make sure your stylist actually specializes in the style you desire, and someone you actually are comfortable with and know. Worst hair service ever, I feel like my money was wasted & I’m now left with an itchy, red,...
