Lavash on Pharr Road – Light Plate, Heavy Flavor
Stopped by Lavash after work for a quick bite, and let’s just say, the setup screamed “grab and go.” Not much for a dine-in vibe—this place is wedged next to a gas station like it knows its lane.
May 2025, Wednesday Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ordered in-store, waited about 10 minutes. Efficient staff, no frills, but they got the job done.
Prices: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ $16.50 for chicken kabobs—initial sticker shock, but the quality backs it up. Now, when I grabbed my plate, I was immediately concerned—felt light, like I just paid premium for an appetizer. Checked it in the car because I needed answers. Turns out, portion was respectable. Then I took a bite…and that’s when everything changed.
Ambiance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Takeout-only, next to a gas station. Functional, clean enough, steady foot traffic at 8 p.m.
Taste/Textures: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chicken kabobs? Slow-cooked, tender, juicy—absolute star of the show. Amazing chew. Rice? Fluffy but unseasoned. Quarter of undercooked tomato...because…balance? Tzizkiii Sauce, perfect addition!
Value: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thought my portion was light until I checked in the car. Turns out, solid size and totally worth it. The flavor in that chicken was RIDICULOUS!
TLDR: This place is a staple and mandatory to eat! I had to finish my food in the car after my first taste!

Read moreThe food is great! Portions used to be good for the price but they have gotten smaller. I can deal with those things because the food is so great. But I can pass on the customer service. I called to make an order (instead of ordering through an app like UberEATS, DoorDash GrubHub etc.) because it takes a portion of the restaurants profit. The young lady Ebonee answered and and put me on hold without a greeting. While on hold I listened to her talk about her birthday, traveling and everything. She got back on the phone and said hello and immediately hung up before I could make a sound. I called back and was immediately hung up on on, called again and the link be was busy (which is expected bc they are always busy). I called again was able to place my order(yes I was persistent and should've given up but Lavash has the best Mediterranean I've tasted in this area, especially for the in prices). I picked up my food and after I paid and opened my food to eat on my way home I noticed that the salad had gotten even smaller. Generally it would've fine but the customer service made me feel like I was robbed and given scraps. Be careful who you employ, you will run repeat...
Read moreDon’t worry I’m contacting the OWNER about this matter too.
I ordered with Uber Eats, this restaurant who is in affiliation with Uber Eats and using them and is a third party of Uber Eats, tells me they cannot contact /communicate with Uber Eats nor refund me . When I never received my order. Now in the past as Uber Eats is not a new app, restaurants have been able to communicate and give refund. In fact Uber eats says contact the restaurant for a refund. Now in fact if this is not currently the case of policy method. The restaurant employee could’ve been more adamant about being proactive in a solution. Good customer service would’ve atleast came at an understanding standpoint of someone not getting their order. It’s not what you do it’s how you do it, and lacking to even care is ridiculous. Yet the restaurant apparently claims they cannot at all do these things that customer service re iterated they could. What business or restaurant partners with a company they have no communication with. This is a lie. They have horrible customer service and in fact I am disappointed at my own local neighborhood restaurant. VERY POOR...
