Pretty disappointed at my experience considering the st Regis spa is one of the best in atlanta. The amenities and staff are all wonderful- that I will say!! I had a 90 min maternity massage. First, The room temperature was so cold that my masseuse was freezing and so was I! There was a noticeable difference when she opened the door and I am a southern gal who loves air conditioner but geez it was cold! She apologized profusely as she couldn’t control the temperatire. She did put extra blankets on which I am thankful about but her hands were freezing so you can imagine how it felt when she used a wash cloth to wipe off the oil— freeeezing! Second, my masseuse was very sweet and kind but I think pretty new or maybe inexperienced? The massage was very choppy and at times felt like she was unsure what to do next. She kept stopping and starting and, I think, she forgot where she was because she forgot to do my other arm at the end. It was very discombobulating and I think she and I were both just trying to get through the 90 minutes. At one point o considered but ending it but felt bad. I had an extremely poor customer service experience at the St. Regis Spa in Atlanta. I booked a massage for my wife, for her first Mother’s Day. Despite multiple attempts to contact the spa to reschedule or discuss transfer options due to unforeseen traffic delays, I couldn't reach anyone. The staff at the front desk, including Judy, were polite but unhelpful, as it was "out of her hands." She referred me to Rafael Gorina, who has been unresponsive for a month.
Ultimately, I had to rebook online, expecting a $50 transfer fee, but was denied any refund for the initial $205 booking. As loyal Marriott members with high status, we expected much better service from a high-end brand like St. Regis. The lack of responsiveness and inability to resolve the issue has removed this hotel from our destination listing...
Read moreI received a facial and massage on June 13, 2023. The people at the spa were very friendly and professional. The facial and massage were good, but not what I expected for the price. I have had many massages and several facials that were much better for half the price.
The ambience was good, which I expected at a spa. There were two things that I considered to be bad. They are listed below.
There was a price increase that was not reflected on the website. I had to tell them they could not charge me more than the price that was listed on the website. So, after a discussion the price was adjusted.
They automatically added a 25% gratuity for each of my services and charged me the tax on the gratuity that is typically paid by the person receiving the gratuity. For me a 25% gratuity is reserved for exceptional service.
