Fantastic local bakery with delicious pastries and fresh bread. Friendly and welcoming environment with a cheerful staff. There is limited space inside so plan on enjoying your fresh pastry at one of the barstools outside. It can get a little busy on weekends so I recommend getting there early if there is a specific item you want to try. They don't offer coffee (yet), but often have pop-ups from local coffee shops on the weekends (East Pole is just down the block as well). My personal favorites are the everything bagels and cinnamon rolls.

It smelled wonderful when I walked in - multiple items were in the ovens. Unfortunately, I arrived around noon, so some things were already sold out. The coffee was good. I bought a savory pastry with roasted carrots and cheese, and it was still warm. It was fine, but I probably wouldn’t order it again. I’ll definitely return and get there earlier. Parking wasn’t difficult. I was able to park on a side street. You can pay to park a few doors down, but you don’t have to.

Colette consistently delivers exceptional baked goods and breads. Every time I visit, I get my weekly sourdough and try out one of the many baked goods they pump out daily. It has been non stop 10s across the board for both their savory and sweet items. And to top it off? They always have something that is new and surprising to me. For example, the chocolate filled meringue today made my knees weak; it was so light and rich .

Bagels and focaccia here make my week. Coffee cake is supreme. Biscuit is impressive. Cookies are sublime. Atmosphere is great and the staff are wonderful.

Some unsolicited thoughts, this is clearly already a well thought out place so feel free to ignore:

What if the pastries were on top of the counter instead of inside with a plexiglass divider? Or at least not on the lowest level. That way they are easier for customers to see and for staff to access without bending over. Plus, the better lighting on the pastries might increase their appeal. I think it could help to have a clearer division between the space where customers are browsing and the space for ordering. Like if there was a divider such as a rope in front of the counter that made customers move along the counter from left to right with the register at the end. Maybe with an 'Order here' sign in front of the register. I think some of the fun of a bakery is just checking out the goods and this would lower the pressure on the staff and the customer to initiate the transaction. Customers would also have to go along the walls and see the other goods/merch on their way in and out. This should prevent lines from just stacking to the door too, which can make it a bit awkward getting in/out.

Thanks for...

Phenomenal pastries. Layers of textures and flavors made each treat a delight. Specifically, the cinnamon roll was gooey throughout, with more depth than simply sugar: cinnamon, butter, and quality flour I felt great eating; yummy cream cheese frosting. The cookies are gooey, buttery, and flavorful: maple ginger is a must! The turnover had a perfect balance of moist tart blueberry filling, and flakey buttery sweet crust. Everything bagel was decked out, froze well—reheated whole in the oven. The granola is a tad sweet for my taste (only bc I’m used to no-sugar granola), yet had a hearty mix of nuts, seeds and dried fruit for a parfait that doesn’t even need fresh fruit. Plenty of savory options, such as the golden cherry tomato galette I enjoyed reheated at home with a bit of aged balsamic. Can hardly wait to return for sourdough bread!!!

This is grab and go—no tables to hang out, yet a couple of benches in front for chat over instant indulgence. Several parking spaces in front that turn over quickly.

Super friendly, patient, and informative staff that seem passionate about their...

By now you probably don’t need anymore convincing but I wanted to leave a review to encourage you to not skip their savory baked goods!

I’ve been coming here nearly weekly since they opened and I’ve tried pretty much everything. All of the sweet treats are great but they REALLY shine in the savory areas, in my opinion. I’m at the point where I don’t even get anything sweet and I’m completely satisfied.

Their quiche is one of the best I’ve ever had. The egg is so smooth and silky and the crust is buttery and crisp.

The prosciutto and cheese bun is so good it motivated me to write this review. Such a perfect blend of flavors and the mustard really takes it to the next level.

The savory turnover is SO GOOD no matter the filling. I honestly don’t know if I like the filling or the flaky dough more but combined, they are šŸ”„.

Can’t go wrong with anything in the case. But the savory items really surprised me. I can never wait long enough to take photos but also everything is so visually pleasing as you can see from others.

Keep up the...
