I've been coming to this branch for many years now (almost every weekend) and I just love the place. All the managers throughout the years have been great people with fantastic customer service skills. The current manager, Payton, is probably the best this branch has ever had. I like how he's always ready to listen to his customers. If you have any problems, this guy will listen to you and make sure they're fixed. Even when I move to a different neighborhood in Austin, I might still come to this location to rent a car. All the agents at the counter are nice and friendly. They try their best to accommodate your needs and get you a car as fast as possible. Because of the video work I do, I travel a lot and need a car with a huge trunk for my large equipment. And the people at this branch are always willing to go out of their way to get me a suitable car. And if the type of car I need is not available, they won't hesitate to offer me a free upgrade. I really appreciate that! All things aren't perfect of course but I hope people will be more understanding and patient when they come to this branch (or any other branches nearby). This branch is located in downtown Austin and there are regular huge events in the neighborhood and consequently, there are days when this place gets super busy. They get so busy that they might take more time to pick you up or drop you off. To me, it's just normal and I don't understand why some people complain. Personally, I've turned my car reservations into an exercise opportunity. I walk or jog to this branch to pick up my car or to my home after returning the car (whenever the weather is nice of course). And I love it! Here is my only little complain: sometimes the interior of cars (with animal hair on seats) aren't cleaned properly. I understand that this is another consequence of what I was just saying about this place being so often busy. They have to clean their cars fast and get them ready for the next customers. However, whenever a customer's dog or cat leaves their hair in the car, the cleaning guys have to be more careful and clean it off. Some people are allergic to animals' hair. I personally just don't like sitting on it, whether it's in a car or a couch. In any case, most cars I rent from this branch are clean and smell good (and often new). So, I won't make a big deal out of it. In conclusion, I'll say that this is a great place to call or visit whenever you need a car to rent. I can guarantee you that you'll enjoy the...
Read moreI rented a car from Enterprise for several months while my car was in the shop waiting on parts due to COVID delays. My Insurance (State Farm) told me how much they paid and how much was due based on my deductible. As Enterprise had been charging my Credit Card every Monday and I had zero deductible on the type of claim it was I was expecting to owe about $150 at drop off. The people at the Enterprise branch told me I had to pay that plus a $500 deductible. I told them that State Farm and just told me no deductible was due but the employees at Enterprise refused to call State Farm to confirm this. They said they HAD to charge my the rental amount plus the $500 deductible but as long as I showed them the deductible wasn’t actually due they would refund that part immediately. The next day, I called the 800 number I had been given to resolve the overcharge and told the woman there my story and gave her my insurance phone number and policy number. About an hour later I got a call from State Farm informing me that a representative from Enterprise had called the about my deductible but had told them that she wouldn’t refund the $500 overcharge until I submitted some type of proof in writing. The kicker is, the following Monday after I had returned the car and paid the elevated charges Enterprise charged my credit card on file an additional $500. I have now called four times in an attempt to get a complete itemized invoice for my review. Not only can I not seem to get anyone to send me the copy of my bill but now after holding 8-10min per call I get disconnected. Use this company with extreme caution! They overcharged me $1000 and refuse to correct it. Next step is chargeback with the credit card company. I have no...
Read moreIf I could leave zero stars I would. I rented a vehicle and picked it up on Wednesday, November 22nd. I was driving on the interstate and the engine light came on and the car began to shudder. I called the emergency line and was directed to the Lafayette, LA airport location. The man working the desk refused to help and told me he did not have a vehicle to change out. I was told later that he was supposed to evaluate the vehicle at a minimum. Because it was Thanksgiving Eve and I just wanted to get to my mother's home, I got back in the car and drove slowly and fortunately made it. I began calling on Friday, Novemeber 24th and went to 4 different locations. No one would change out the vehicle for something comparable (one place offered a giant truck I didn't feel safe driving). Finally I had the car towed as it was unsafe to drive. Then miraculously the next day I was able to return to another location and an appropriate vehicle was available. I spent six hours trying to resolve the issue on my holiday I called multiple times to try and speak to a manager to no avail. I was told to call the Austin Downtown location to resolve the issue. I did and was told I needed to speak with Mannie(?) the regional manager. He never called. The local employee called and told me they would offer half off the charges and I stated that I still wanted to speak to the manager. Still no call. One month later they charged my credit card the entire amount, not even honoring their offer of half off. My main issue here is that the vehicle was unsafe and I could never reach ANYONE with any authority to get the vehicle changed out to an...
