Austin Pedal Party — Local services in Austin

I didn’t realize I hadn’t completed a written review, so because our pedal party was in February 2023, I can’t remember who our guide was! I was charged with planning a friend’s bachelorette party and I had always seen these downtown. Read the reviews and they were so accurate.

Our party was full, there wasn’t an empty seat, and I think how “into it” the people riding get determines how fun and “successful” your experience is. People driving behind you might hate being stuck behind this pedal party going 5 mph in downtown Austin, but hopefully you’ve brought your own drinks so you can forget about the eye rolls and wave to the people on the sidewalks haha

Our guide was so awesome. He handled getting everyone a new drink at stop lights, sometimes to the frustration of traffic behind us 🤣 he took music requests which only made the ride more fun, especially after taking a shot (or two) at this random bar south of the river. (It’s a pit stop to use the bathroom and grab a quick drink before riding back north of the river.)

We tried to go on Austin Pedal Party on a Friday afternoon and were so excited. Only 10 minutes before we were supposed to get on the bike, I got a call from one of the tour guides who said that they might need to cancel our tour due to so few people signing up. He said I should have received a call or a text DAYS prior to tell me this. I asked if he could switch us to a different tour and he said he’d check with his boss. No call back… just a text that said your tour is canceled. Will not be recommending this tour to anyone… we thankfully got on another bike party that was very amenable but if you’re planning a special occasion do not use...
