I've been seeing Adriana at MAEVA for the past year, and I'm so happy I found her! I went in for a consultation and told her about my past experiences with botox and filler, my concerns, areas I wanted to improve, things that didn't work for me previously, etc. She listened to everything I had to share, answered every single question, and immediately provided a well thought out strategy and approach for dysport and filler that would help me achieve my goals. After my first round of dysport settled in and I started seeing results, I knew I found my go-to injector! She even helped me in choosing a surgeon to do my recent upper and lower bleph because she knew I had certain goals that weren't totally achievable through dysport and filler. I also recently started seeing Alex for skincare needs. She took the time to listen to my current skincare routine as well as my concerns, and we're actively working through a game plan to achieve my overall goals. She also went out of her way to check in on me after my first peel knowing I have sensitive skin and have never done a peel before. I'm so excited for the skincare journey we've started together! And beyond Adriana and Alex, the entire staff is so warm and welcoming – I can't wait to see how they continue to grow! I cannot recommend MAEVA and their team enough. UPDATE: I recently saw Shaelyn for the first time for a lip flip. Unsurprisingly, she conducted the appointment in the same manner that I've experienced with Adriana! She took the time to understand my overarching goals and provide her expertise to help manage my expectations for the appointment and the results. It's been less than a week since my appointment, and I'm already loving how my lip flip is looking! I'm so excited Maeva is continuing to grow their team with such knowledgable, friendly, and trustworthy...
Read moreMy experience here was okay. I had filler done by the founder and Botox by Shaelyn. Both were knowledgeable and did a great job, so I don’t have any complaints about their skills. Where things fell short was in the overall patient care and experience, especially considering you are overpaying compared to other clinics in the area. It often takes several days to get a response via text, which is frustrating (this is coming from an existing client, not a new client). Also, no after photos were taken of my filler treatment. When I asked for them, I was told after photos are “usually taken at follow-up appointments due to swelling/bruising right after treatment.” The problem is, I was never scheduled for a follow-up, nor told I needed one for them to take official result shots, so the only photos in my file are the “before” shots. For such treatments, I’d expect the clinic to be more proactive in tracking results — not only for the client's peace of mind, but also as a best practice for safety and quality control; even if swelling/bruising are evident after treatment, photos should always taken. I brought up my concerns with them and notified them I was going to switch clinics; in response, they encouraged me to do so. Also - The minimum spend requirement to continue seeing my original injector, Adriana, was also disappointing. For someone who values natural results but doesn’t need large amounts of Botox, this felt restrictive; my options to keep working with my injector were to either overpay for botox or I needed to find other areas in my face to inject to use up what I was paying. So I did have to switch to Shaelyn, who did a great job. But ultimately these issues led me to look for another clinic....
Read moreAll the aestheticians and injectors are new to the field (except the owner). I got microneedling with exosomes done a few months ago and for the mark up of this procedure compared to other offices I did not notice any discernible improvements in my skin, even for one of three recommended sessions there was absolutely zero difference. Alex who completed the treatment did not educate on the procedure beforehand, she just jumped into it and I was left to ask her many questions. But outside of having a generally stuffy medspa environment (which I don’t mind if I see results) I noticed zero material difference in my skin -especially for them charging close to double as most places in town. Expressed that I hadn’t seen any people of color in their marketing and I was sold a cream ahead of my Microneedling treatment. Only for no difference to be made. I don’t mind investing as long as there’s results but I was not shown UV photo scan at my follow up for a reason.
On top of that I had been seeing Adriana close to when they opened (saw her twice for dysport) but she recently added a minimum spend requirement- which I don’t meet since my Dysport preference is minimal. Being that she strives for natural results this seems counterintuitive for someone to preach natural results but have such a high minimum spend ($500) which is would result in unnatural outcomes. It then leaves you to be treated by the only other injector who has been injecting for less than half a year. Unfortunately they have gotten ahead of themselves and lost sight of their original mission that I admired. Lesson learned, I am now seeing more qualified...
